I totally relate to Oliver’s family situation! I am also a first gen college student and now working at KP…we don’t have the same opportunities to splurge on ourselves and “live our best lives”BUT it does feel amazing to give back to our parents. Proud of you for giving back to your family too ! ❤

It’s funny you mentioned that your an ER nurse that wants to go to the pacu. I was a full time ER nurse who now works full time in the pacu. My hospital allows us to float and pick up in the ER. Plus call time in pacu is automatic overtime 😛 if I come in and recover a patient for 1 hr I get paid for 4hrs overtime. Look into it.

The Oakland Kaiser has its own union here. So keep in mind if you get a job there you’ll have to get rehired if you want to transfer to a different Kaiser in cali… just a heads up because I think they hire more often then the other ones in the Bay Area. Oakland is not a safe city to live in, we call it bip city
@NursesToRichesКүн бұрын
The Kaiser in Oakland is represented by the California nurses association. It is the same union that represents 20+ Kaiser hospitals in Northern California. If you transfer between any of those hospitals you do NOT have to be rehired. What you are probably referring to is the difference in unions between the Kaiser hospitals which are represented by UNAC in Southern California or the unions outside of California. When you transfer from a non-CNA-represented hospital to a CNA-represented hospital you no longer have seniority in the union and you end up going back to square one.

Hey I live in the east bay, ANTIOCH Is not the safest place and very hot weather. Stockton is verrryyy dangerous to live. Sac is cheap, diversity city, close to Tahoe, very hot weather, also our capital. San Jose is nice, expensive to rent, nice weather, lot of activities to do including night life, great shopping, kind of dangerous. Richmond was very dangerous to live about 5 years ago, now it is more gentrified, always windy weather there, big Mexican, Afghanistan, and Arabic communities. San Francisco is very dirty, great weather, great views, access to a lot of out door activities and night life, expensive to live comfortably and safely, can not really have a car. Vallejo Is up and coming, it has dangerous part and other parts that are not, very diverse, large Filipinos community, close to sf by fairy. Walnut Creek is bougie and lots of older people live there, weather is okay, lots of traffic on that side of the hill. If you have any other questions I can help y’all out! Welcome to the bay !

Additionally, the RN's that have a great rep and Managers like them, can get the 7 days in a row or holiday shifts.

Please, get her on, Jason. I see that pay was super high during and soon after COVID, but that has been dwindling, as well as demand for RNs opportunities to pick up OT. in fact, one of the paychecks you reviewed was from a while back, so I wonder if the high income earning opportunities and the high demand for nurses and picking up shifts is still available, even in California.

She’s truly “owning” her destiny. We have a few of these “Spas” in Pasadena CA and the biggest is owned by an MD Dermatologist that hires RN’s. @@bevans8797 How did you get to finish your BSN in 30 days with Capella?
@bevans8797Күн бұрын
@@pittymom5787 so they have a program called Flex path you pay a flat rate I believe it’s $3000 and if you know some one in the program you get a discount. So with this program they give you the chance to finish all 8 classes in a semester which is 13 weeks. It’s all papers no test. How I finished so fast was because in each class it’s 4 papers so I would do a paper in the morning and a paper at night. So in 2 days I would finish one class. Another factor is the instructor if you are serious I can give you a list of instructors who grade fast. The quicker they grade the faster you can move on. There is plenty of videos on KZfaq where people have finished in 60days and that’s one paper a day.

If “anywhere in the United States” truly means anywhere (Alabama, Missouri….), I’d be interested to hear. But this comment already sounds like a bit of backtracking by moving the endline to “maximizing” money rather than the original comment.

I apologize if I’m saying it wrong, but I never wanted to be a business owner until last year! To start a practice is not impossible, but seems like a very difficult road so to have my own business as a 1099 and progress in the way that Ebb is doing it, sounds more feasible and amazing!!! Until seeing some of these videos, I was nervous and thought, “I’d have to pay back loans and when will I have financial freedom?” I wondered if I made a mistake going to NP school.. But now, after seeing this video, I feel more confident about my goals! Work life balance while earning a great salary is the overall goal for me!!!😇

I always wanted to be a nurse. Even though I had a scholarship for nursing my father would not let me take it. Years later I became an LPN. Sadly Medicine has become a business. So there is constant shortage and each nurse has to take more patients than they can take care of in the way they were taught. You can work your tail off a work, yet be crying on the way home because you just didn’t have the time to do all the things you wanted to do for your patients. It’s very discouraging.
