The point of the story was that the guy succumbed to paranoia and insanity because of the Rake so that's why he decided to murder his parents instead of the Rake. And to all the people who claim they would've killed the Rake, it's easy to become paranoid and insane when a scary-ass creature stalks you and tells you to murder, and I'm pretty sure anyone would become suicidal after all that.

***** Well it is natural for predators going after weak prey, so I can see why the Rake picked the boy instead of anyone else. But he didn't just kill his parents because he was scared, it was because the Rake drove him to the point of insanity.

***** Well I think because the boy lost his sanity he couldn't think logically. He probably thought the only way to go is to blindly follow the Rake. And it is very possible that the Rake hunts humans for fun. It is possible that the Rake was created for just that reason. The Rake's appearance goes into the Uncanny Valley, a mental "valley" that means that something is more creepy when it looks like a human, but something is just off. Like a clown. So whoever created the Rake made it fit into the Uncanny Valley and drive people to insanity for fun.

I don't know why the kid wasn't just like "Oh yeah I'll help you." and he takes his shotgun with him and aims it at his parents and forces them to go somewhere and when the Rake thinks the kid is on his side, the kids pumps the Rake full of lead.

guys I think I found some weird glitch whenever I like the Like button dosnt turn blue it stays gray but when I put the curser over the button it says "Unlike" instead of "I Like This" and it only turns blue when I unlike

This is much better than the original story of the Rake. This goes alongside Anasi's Goatman Story as one of my favorite Creepypasta.

He doesn't make them he just narrates them, creepypastas are almost always typed so if you wanna start you could start now and narrate them later
