Sorry for your lost, we recently realised our tap water was not consistent and the nitrate when we moved in 2 years ago was at 10 ppm had shot up to 60 ppm (kent). We were extremely surprised as within 24 hour of water change their body was turning black rapidly. They are such small fishes so it was truly heartbreaking seeing them suffer whilst we were struggling to figure out the cause. Thankfully a wonderful fish keeper gave us some advice and its been working out so far. So fingers cross naruto keeps getting better and lava boy remains healthy. The downside of fish keeping is real and often so sudden

Sorry for your lost. Never nice when you lose a fish without knowing the reason. I might have left the facebook group but i try to keep up with the videos.

I once had a healthy active gf that died the next morning. No outwardly signs of injury or illness. Only thing that stands out was it voraciously ate a big chunk of blood worms i fed.

How do you deal with condensation does and humidity from the fish tanks ? Please some advice??

My tanks both have lids, so I don't get any humidity from the aquariums 😃

Tips for issue like mario..gave them methylene blue bath twice a day..u can mix with aquarium or epsom salt also strong aeration..i face this several time n it works like a charm..

Hi, sorry about the loss. in your opinion what is the best pellet food you can buy? I feed mine a mix of foods. Veggies once a week, i use the hikari oranda gold pellets and i alternate frozen blood worm and brine shrimps inbetween. I have two calico rose tails, a panda oranda, red cap oranda, a ryukin type (all just under palm size) in a semi planted 260 ltr tank. I do 50% weekly water changes.. all seem happy so far. 🤞 Anyway i wondered if i could give them something better..

Hulx is in line price wise with the competitive brands. I think it's cheaper than hikari

I hate hearing losing a fish because its hard. But have you tried Dr. Novaks method which are BCB bag Filters and a plenum undergravel filter?

I think this could work on small scale, but with very large fancy goldfish I don't think it's achievable unfortunately

They can die of heart attacks for instance fish can be either very unpredictable or as tough as old boots

You need to get a microscope. Could be absolutely anything but id bet the culprit is actually the massive amount of food you give them causing organ failure and weakening the fish then youll get secondary issues from existing parasites and bacteria that take advantage.
