Most MGTOW content creators make topics about women primarily to teach, y'know, "what to look for, what not to get involved with, what to do in particular situations," that kind of stuff. Sandman is just a grifter though, he uses the acronym as a branding that can be monetized rather than an actual life style. Before you ask, no I'm not MGTOW, at least not particularly. The most I consider myself is voluntarily celibate because I've had no interest whatsoever in being with other women after my fiance passed away - I don't know about "THE one", but to me she was definitely "my one", and nothing/no one could ever replace her so I don't even bother in trying. Not saying every man is like that however, most men choose to walk away from engaging in long term relationships for different reasons. It just so happens that my personal reason is the posthumous devotion to the woman that I considered/still consider my entire world to revolve around, only because life is cruel did I have to watch her pass away from brain cancer at the age of 25, four years ago. A relationship that had lasted since 9th grade, and a woman who's beauty and intelligence was unrivaled in my eyes, destroyed at the hands of a brain tumor. It would almost be unreal to me if it weren't for the daily dose of reality I catch when I come home from work and she's not there waiting for me. However, her passing away doesn't change how much I loved her and her alone, not other women, and that's why I have no interest in dating. But again, that's just my own personal reason.

@@coyote4326 Geez, man. That sucks. For what it's worth, sorry for your loss. It's one of the reasons why I never could come to terms with the concept of Death & how it's inevitable. Just lost my mom to lung cancer over a year ago on Dec. 2nd, didn't get to see her for that Christmas. And my piece of shit family never setup a memorial service for her or anything (everyone else got one though). The only reason her death doesn't bother me is because subconsciously, I had to except that everyone dies at some point for whatever reason, whether we like it or not, and so I learned the hard way that "The more you love someone or something, the more it hurts when they're taken away". And so, I stopped loving or caring for people or things so that when they go away forever, it won't effect me emotionally. It certainly spares me from emotional grief (and the Sertraline/Zoloft I take for anxiety certainly helped stabilize my mental health), but the emotional cutoff makes me feel a little dead inside as well. Anyway, good on you for staying loyal even after she passed away. Not too many people even understand what Loyalty is anymore.
