Pastor Rick, I hope that one day you will see this. You said that you didn't know who needed to hear this...I did. Today is March 2, 2020 and I just heard this message for the first time, and it was exactly what I needed. it was literally an answered prayer. I was in my car, so discouraged that I was crying and I asked God to please help me. I haven't been watching as regularly as I used to, but for some reason you popped into my head. I Googled Pastor Rick Warren sermon, and played the first thing that came up. It was this video. Thank you for always blessing me and teaching me.

65 years old and recently diagnosed with Parkinson's disease. My limitations went from minimal to I can barely lift up a pen. Talk about discouraged. Every day I'm discouraged. Because of something I cannot control and because of the disease that will not go away. I pray and pray and pray for some relief and continue in my hope that God will heal me. Please pray for me people. The pain is real.... the discouragement is real and unfortunately I'm getting to the end of my rope now I don't know how much longer I can continue on. My mind is slowly fading away. Sorry to make this about me but I'm trying to improve myself for my world my family my friends my God and yet nothing seems to be working be working today. Please pray for me. Thank you

Prayer for Healing For My Long Time Illness Holy Father, Thank You for being with me through all the ups and downs of my life and for the many blessings that You have given me for which I praise and thank You. You know the illness that I have been struggling with for a long time now and that there is little that seems to be able to be done by the medical profession - but I believe that I am fearfully and wonderfully made and that You know every part of my body. You know exactly why I have been ill for so long. I come to You now asking that You would work a full recovery in my body - whatever is causing this persistent problem. I pray that You would, in Your mercy, give me back the health and strength I need. Guide me along the path that You have planned for me. In Jesus' name, I pray. Amen.

Wow the holy spirit is really guiding me. 3 days ago I was really discouraged of something. Last night I was still really stumble of that discouragement but today November 7, 2021, Sunday, when I open my KZfaq to watch pastor Rick's sermons and this video was in the first in line in my KZfaq recommendation. Holy Spirit be with you at all times every day. Abide in the Lord, let the Lord abide in you. Live in the spirit. Peace and love be with you always. regardless if you miss church or attend church. Where the spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty. IF your church leads you away from the Lordship of Jesus, time to dust your feet of that place and find one that leads you to honour the Lordship of Jesus, love God above anyone and everything, and realize God's love for you, and care for fellow human beings as you'd care about yourself. Your season of discouragement is just a passing storm, better times are coming, be at peace with it.

No matter what Saddleback message I listen to, or when it was originally recorded or posted, I Always get something that's critically important to apply in my present circumstances! In this message, Pastor Rick struck a chord with me when he let us all know, "It's not about you!" I don't consider myself a self-absorbed, selfish, or inconsiderate person. On the contrary, I feel I'm quite the opposite of those things. But, admittedly, I can get deeply discouraged when things seem to be stacked against me, despite my trying hard and doing what's right. Listening to this message really helped me to understand that earth isn't heaven, and it never will be! We will all go through pain and strife. While you're here, do the best you can and know that God is fully aware of any suffering you're enduring. Never forget that He's not done with you, yet.

Thank you Rick Warren for your message and past messages that help our soul to be closer to God. Solutions have been slow, but I think we should be patient with God's way although the waiting is also hard virtue to follow. But reading the Bible daily helps us in changing our thoughts and mind. Talking to God thru his messages would help us over coming worries, discouragement, depression. I just think, whatever the outcome, God knows what is best despite of the consequences that we expect. God 's is merciful and unconditionally love us although we can not comprehend his ways.

Im a work in progress. The more i work on me the quicker i realize my mistakes i make quicker. I feel so amazed that im so lucky and given unending numerous chances through gods grace. I can be a hot mess and tho its true through my humbling decision to ask for his salvation and forgivness that he gives so lovingly. These are such great insights. It makes me want to memorize all of II Corinthians 4 because as Rick says, it's not about us but our hope in Christ. Reaping a harvest of blessing if we don't give up.

When we discouraged we need to run first to God not to others. We will face a lot of discouragements and frustrations in our journey but one thing is ever constant, He will always on our side as long we choose to allow Him in our lives.

My daughter recently graduated with a Bachelor's degree in biological sciences. She plans to go to pharmacy school but needs to find a job to help pay for it. She's kind of discouraged after hearing no responses from the places that she applied. Jesus please help her to have faith in you, and be lifted up spiritually regardless of the circumstances.

Thank you Pastor Rick Warren, all of your teaching are very useful to our life. I was in this situation because of some problems that I faced in my life. Then when I listen to your wonderful advice, I realize that i need to learn God's word continuously, use my pain to help others, take time for renewal and stay focused on eternity.

Discouragement not always beause of distance from God nor from faking it but from not being able to restart a life that has drastically changed due to the death if a spouse.

I have the love of God, while Satan is always trying to get turn away. Amongst people trying my patience, faith and hope...give me the strength to stay in God grace, I need the holy spirit 🙏 I've been praying for my family and friends..who don't have faith and hope..pray for me 7-15-22
