Will this seat fit with the harley davidson detachable sissy bar? Kind of looks like it might not but not really sure. Your opinion would greatly help. Ride safe!

Did you get a step up to compare? I’d love to have a legit backrest. But I need the height of the step up for leg room. Have you rode both?

I haven’t purchased a step up seat yet, but I have sat on one. Personally as the driver of the bike - the step up and explorer feel the same. I have had some people disagree with me on that statement before though. I do have forward controls on my bike too, which help with the leg room and is the only way to go in my opinion. Hey man, how do you think this seat will be for me with mids? I have a problem with my thighs pinching with my Sundowner, because the mid saddle to front is to wide. I ordered the seat and just hope its not going to be something that does not feel right. I ride a 2016 Street Bob with a-2 inch adjustable mini floorboard mids.

Hey Harold! Man I wish I could help you out but I installed forward controls 2 weeks after riding with the mid controls (before switching the seat), so I don’t have any insight on this. Sorry man…

I'm 5'9" with forward controls on my 11 street bob. I'm not goin to feel like I'm reaching am I with this seat?

@@nicholasmatthews3723 Hey man! Thanks for watching Dude! I can only speak on the Low Rider S but I’m not reaching at all with forwards and my explorer seat. Also I’m flat footing my bike with this setup and I’m 5’10” (5’11” on a good day).

How did the explorer change your position on the bike compared to stock? Did it push you more forward or further back?

I’ve never sat on the stock single seat (if I did I don’t remember), I had the dealership swap it out for the duel stock seat when I purchased it. The explorer is like the step up (in my opinion), feels like it’s pushing you forward, but it’s just the fact that you have lower back support, which is why you feel more forward on the bike. You’re really just sitting straighter. Make sense?

The gel keeps it from being squishy soft, which is a good thing. I'm more interested in that sissybar pad. where'd you get it from? Looks light years better than the garbage H-D sells for the paperclip style sissybar.

I purchased the sissy bar from Amazon. I get lots of questions about it but unfortunately I can’t find it on there anymore. Even tried viewing my past purchase history and was unsuccessful. 🤷🏼‍♂️

@@deangullberry5148 The sissybar came with brand stickers in the box that I’ve misplaced somewhere in my garage, I’ve been trying to find them so I can look up the company. I’ll let you know if I come across it. 👍🏼

Nice! The sissy bar came from Amazon, it wasn’t anything special. I looked until I found one that didn’t bolt against the fender directly, all of those will leave scratches on your fender.

Thinking of getting this myself, sat on a step up and liked the back support and pushing my back more straight. Does it do the same with the back support on the explorer version? I’m also on a low rider but need more seat for my wife so no step up for me.

@Quaality - Yes! I’m fairly certain they are the same seat with the exception of the passenger seat. @saddlemen can correct me if I’m wrong on that.

@@GrandmasterHobbyist I’ve sat on the strep up once, they look the same in photos to me. I’m actually about to order one as a second seat so I’ll be able to make a direct comparison video in the future. Thanks for watching! 😎👊🏼

You must be really tall to run this seat....im 6ft and hated it...had to fully extend arms to reach my 10" bars...im only 185 lbs so that may also play a role in why it put me so far back.

Yea man I don’t know, I’m 5’11” 285lbs and also have forward controls. Best riding position I’ve had so far. 🤷🏼‍♂️ I do have stock bars right now too though.
