Hi Jorbs, This is slightly off track to the video, but I noticed that you started playing LTD 2, and honestly it had me fan girling a little. In your video, How I think about strategy games, it really put into words so many ideas I've had about strategy games. One part that really hit home was when you spoke about top 100 TFT players vs top 10. In LTD 2 I'm currently in that top 100 spot, and it really rang true that I played the game for the win rather than learning. Since your video I've tried to take a different approach, and though I'm still sitting around the same rank, I feel I'm learning the game to a point where it is incredibly satisfying. So I guess I just wanted to say thank you for the content you put out, and I hope your time in LTD 2 is enjoyable.

On the silent I love finding Sadistic nature, on any other character I'm disappointed by losing the chance for a better rare card.

I'm only glad to find it when I'm playing as the Watcher with talk to the hand and wave of the hand with some flurry of blows combo. Other than that, it's just an inconvenience imo

Today's lesson is: you don't have to be the best to succeed. Not even the 4th best. You just have to remember not to draw your deck upside down. Maybe make it a habit?

Honestly that 5 basic blocks hand vs Lagavulin into drawing the exact same 5 basic block hand on next redraw was absolutely disgusting and I respect it. And while he did not comment on it (and it doesn't really matter against Laga), the actual starting hand on turn 1 also had almost all of the blocks. Jackpot of jack shit.

I've always thought Sadistic Nature has some really great hits in silent. Noxious fumes, crippling cloud, bouncing flask all insane, not to mention envenom (although it feels so rare that I actually get to take envenom).

Whenever Mummified Hand turns up, Sadistic Nature can make for some insane power chaining combos for Silent. Block carddraw the rest and you're SET

Because jorbs doesn't pick for broken combos(unreliable) and he rarely sees it except in a shop where it's too expensive to be worth it.

I have been hunting for a really Sadistic nature + Fumes run for a while now. Would like to get at least a couple of Sadistic nature going along with Fumes, but RNGsus hasn't blessed me with it.

There were 15 cards in total, and 7 of them were block (he got 5) The chance of the first card being block is 7/15 The chance of the second card being block (assuming the first one is) is 6/14. Then 5/13, 4/12, 3/11. You times these all together and you get 1/143 chance for the first occasion

For the second occasion, 7 out of 14 were block. So it’s 7/14 * 6/13 * 5/12 * 4/11 * 3/10 which is 3/286. (1 and a half times as likely as the first occasion) Then multiply both events together, you get 3/40898. (Bear in mind this is the chance of both of these specific hands being 5 block cards. Not the chance of anything of this nature happening in general, also I took cloak and dagger to be a block card but maybe I shouldn’t have)

I'm shocked to see you preferred After Image over Storm of Steel in 1st act boss reward, simply ignoring the Tingsha and Thousand Cuts synergy. A couple Acrobatics and that deck could turn into a machine gun with no effort. As much as I love After Image for obvious reasons, it was still a really fun and alluring pick in these circumstances.

The problem with Storm of Steel is that you're discarding cards that you don't want to discard. The card sucks. You still gotta block and by the time you block you have 2/3 cards left and are low on energy to even storm of steel/draw more. If you want thousand cuts synergy you just pick blade dance/cloak and dagger. If you want tingsa you go for Calc gambles and acros. Storm of steel is just a Meh card.

In many cases, I totally agree with both of you without question. :) Just this one seemed quite fun and potent to me, but yeah After Image is indeed the safer choice - means a lot in any roguelike game. I watched many games of yours with crazy synergies including the ones I could never even think about so this one at first looked like another one was coming, felt excited to see if (and how) that worked. :D Thanks for the reply and all the great runs Jorbs, love the content!
