A very artsy, but STUNNINGLY beautiful animation. I am confident in saying that this, as of September 19, 2022, is the single most realistic animated short film ever made. Period. It is simply stunning how real it looks. Thinking about the amount of work this must have taken makes my head hurt. The water, reflections, foliage, physics, EVERYTHING, looks real. A bunch of people won't appreciate the achievement this is because its... different. Its strange and beautiful and its a monument to how far technology has come. There is a lot that can make you think, "Oh, this is fake," without you even realizing it. You'll see a weird texture or something won't fall the right way or light won't be reflected correctly, and that is all it takes to make you realize what you are seeing is computer generated, so in order for you to perceive something as real, EVERYTHING has to work, there can be no mistakes. This is as close to perfect (it is not perfect, but WOW is it close) in this regard as we've gotten so far. This is as close as we've ever come to bridging nature and technology... I wonder how long it took to render :)

As someone who lives in a place with no natural disasters- this was actually super interesting Edit: I feel like this is a bit obvious, but it keeps popping up We CAN get natural disasters, it's just ultra uncommon here. No tornadoes that can lift people, forest fires, earthquakes, tsunamis or volcanoes that I am aware of have happened while I've been alive here. Floodings usually pretty minor but there is a bit of history here and there. Main point is, it's all uncommon so we dont get these kinda training videos- haha ^_^' we arent meteorite proof.

haha, it's fine, wouldn't pity a dumbass like you for getting an ef5 down your house and you lost everything to a tornado. If you don't know how tough a concrete with concrete brick house is, compared to some naked brick or simply plywood houses, I remembered when my house was undergoing renovation, it took 2 days for 2 guys to sledgehammer and drill down just a door size area of wall. Now if you want to seriously die a gruesome death in a tornado region, I am fine as fuck away from EVERY common disaster here in Malaysia. Not even a 30m flood would affect me since my house stands at higher slope region of my neighborhood. Plus, the windows have taken punches from me and it isn't some shitty glass you would use for your house in 'murica or some shit that breaks from just shockwaves, random sound or stone throws. Live in tornado region on earth, approve for such atrocious housing design... I am fucking amazed by what the fuck are your states thinking all the time. Even the high schools and buildings over here are solid. Meanwhile in US, Aus, and plenty of other countries I am too lazy to mention about, the suburb planning is flawed, space is wasted, the building design and material used are flawed, and cost 2~5x the price of what the money can buy over here. Then spends trillions on war that doesn't do shit other than the obvious result which is the isis is growing and expanding their influence. In the end of the day, either you and your citizen do something about it, or enjoy gruesome death 24/7/365, and nobody cares. I am giving an advice, and plenty of youtuber have taken them down as if *'murica numba wan* or some shit. Just like gun control, I haven't heard a news bout gun killing in my country for weeks now, except msn updating gun killings *AT LEAST* 3 times a day.

It's always amazes me, in a way, to see the sheer level of destruction a tornado can leave behind when it hits places like Florida. Here in Brazil practically all houses are built with solid walls of bricks and concrete. The roof might come off if it is not contrete as well, and the houses might get flooded, but the structure ia way more sturdy than wooden frames and drywall. Much more expensive too, so I guess I can see the benefits.
@litigioussociety42492 жыл бұрын
Solid walls are very bad when it comes to earthquakes, or anything else that can shake the house significantly. Ideal is metal frame with large I-beams. However, that's costly, and mostly used in commerical buildings.
