This week is Rail Safety Week.
Although I don't need an excuse, it is a good reason to spend more time with our brilliant people that run our railway.
In this Video Blog, I go to West Wales, visit a recently restored Brunel Building, visit a signal box and visit a tunnel that is having emergency repairs.
I took Gemma, our Route Head of HR, also Jess, our Route Freight Manager, with me to meet Meirion, Ian, Wynn from our NR Ops team. We also met with Amco Giffen and our Network Rail Engineers who are fixing the broken tunnel.
Lots of safety conversations, lots of close calls raised, lots of thank yous to our brilliant railway industry people.
