Community health workers and lay counsellors are demanding permanent jobs and full benefits from Free State government. The National Union of Public Service and Allied Workers affiliated to South African Federation of Trade Unions (SAFTU) marched to the Free State Premier's Office in Bloemfontein. The workers say they've had enough of empty promises from government while they continue to render services equal to permanent staff.
