Even today, the Sahara is full of miracles. Until way into the 20th century, vast areas remained unexplored. In the early thirties, the Austrian-Hungarian adventurer Ladislaus E. Almásy who later gained world-wide fame as the historical figure on whom the Hollywood movie 'The English Patient' was based on, had undertaken several expeditions to various blank spots on the Sahara's map.

Why do these movie makers think they have to play such loud music? At times it is so loud the narrator can't be heard. It's that way in almost all of them.

Своей мощью и силой любого заставляет трепетать. По ТВ показывали бедуины на верблюдах пустыню пересекают, везут товары на обмен. Впереди пешком идет человек показывающий дорогу. Как он ориентируется , когда сплошь пески, барханы, под ветром пейзаж меняется каждый час, песчаные бури....уму не постижимо...

👍👌про Сахару видела по ТВ на русском перевод. В одном фильме показывали животных и пресмыкающихся, насекомых Сахары. В другом бедуины на верблюдах везли товары.Не устаю смотреть документальные фильмы.

Garis Sahara satu dingding dihadapan dan dibelakangnya yaitu dari ujung ke ujung hanya ada jalan untuk kendaraan umum bus dan kereta api cepat yaitu gedung gedung model persegi panjang itu adalah cara pertanian moderen didalam gedung. Dan peternakan binatang gurun pasir. Lalu sepanjang garis itu pohon kelapa tumbuh..diantara dua sisi kiri kanan bangunan empat persegi panjang dan ditengah antara dua bangunan ada jalan bus dan kereta api diantaranya dipisah dengan sungai alas plastik seperti bak panjang model irigasi bisa menanam ikan Oskar atau nila dan ikan mas serta gurame dan ikan- ikan kecil dibuat nyaman . Ada fabrik minyak kelapa juga. Tapi ini tepatnya diujung Sahara kota dan ujung Sahara kota selanjutnya green green tries of Sahara. Trims.

In the Chinese desserts you will find drawings of Chinese people cooking zebra's, grinding rhino horns, trading elefant tusks, wearing croc leather shoes and being kicked by girafs. Ah, and wildebeest tastes like cow. Smiling ancient Chinese. Lots of Chinese, lots of kids. And that was 8 thousand years ago.

They may think that the stories & paintings of elephants & giraffes are depictions of what used to be in the Sahara, but how do they know that? It could be that these ppl had visited neighbouring lands & are speaking & drawing of what they witnessed there... that's what I believe it means. Otherwise why have no bones ever been found of these animals? In this environment bones would last centuries without being touched, but there's been none found.

How did people travel across the Sahara Desert in the old days before compasses? Shifting sand dunes are not land marks. How did they do it?

Nice video but I'm honestly tired of the "Sahara as being an endless sea of sand" cliche 😒 I'm from south Algeria and the Sahara is mostly rocky plateaus and plains. Sand seas make up a tiny portion of it, like 30% max.

@@joshuambeya4336 Sorry Josh I should have been more accurate with my comment. The ancient Egyptians caused the Sahara to expand enormously. That's what I meant.
