So how do you guys get assigned a tow? I know there’s several tow boat companies so does it run off contracts with different boats or is it whoever is available or is it a rotation that the port authority assign. Also was curious about the horse power the tug puts out. I know some of them tugs are beasts. Anyway love the content keep killing it have a kick ass day!

That seemed like a much easier job than some you have shown us. Just curious, do you ever get uneasy about being under such mega sized equipment? I noticed at several points, the ships anchor was directly over your bow and looked to be really close to the wheelhouse.

More newbie questions. You came on and said what you were going to do with the ship. How did you know that? What tells you specifically what the job entails? You explained the 1/3 1/2 etc. 1/3 of what? Can we also talk costs? What is market price for a job like this one. Who do you bill for it?
@tugboatwilly8432 ай бұрын
I can’t really get into the cost because that’s out of my wheelhouse but 1/3 of full power 1/2 of full power and so on. 1800 RPM is full power clutch runs 650 RPM. I hope that helps. Also we do these ships a lot so you kind of know what you are going to do but the pilot on the ship actually tells you.
