The fact that they don’t allow plastics is an amazing thing. I wish other places would follow suit with that practice! Thanks for sharing your experiences with us!

That's not all they don't allow at least not without two or three documentation processes including immigration. Not being political here. Just noting the differences.

Fish finder works very well for determining bottom makeup. Been using it in a French Polynesia for years. Fish finder we silicone to hull inside. Easy to find those sandy spots. We also float the chain with pearl floats to save the chain and coral.

Sad thing I heard is that majority of all that plastic and trash DOESE NOT even come from the Philippines at all. Majority of It comes from the irresponsible neighboring major cities/countries like China, Taiwan, Vietnam, Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia etc... and also the major shipping lanes. The Philippines constantly have to clean up after all the other countries mess. Geographically the Philippines seems to be the magnet for all the floating trash that comes from the other continental mainlands. So unfair to the beautiful Philippine Islands and the wildlife... 😞

All of the island countries , especially Asia , has the same problem . But please do not forget that it's not only our own trash , it is also , trash of the world , we receive shipping containers of western worlds trash on a daily basis . Actual containers , with trash , that you think is being recycled and you think you are doing a great job because you recycle . trash form America , Canada , Australia , anything that isn't recyclable ends up here in Indonesia , in Malaysia , in china , the Philippines . Indonesia has no recycling plants , the people here are mostly poor , and cannot and do not have the knowledge and do not have the facilities to be able to deal with trash in the best way . It ends up in a fire , trash is burnt here , and unfortunately because of the amount of trash , a lot of it swims out into the ocean and rivers .

To give honey bees water take a shallow tray and fill it with marbles. Then fill the tray with water just under the tops of the marbles. If you don’t have marbles you can use small rocks. The marbles/rocks let the bees crawl around without drowning.

That said, most of the plastic bottles had non-english labels. In other words they didn't come from American rivers...out into the ocean and into the sea to pollute the Philippines like the media would have us believe. These were discarded by locals or tourists and probably much of that was blown overboard when they became light from being empty. (ie. not on purpose).

If you keep a 5 gallon bucket on board. Put like a half of a gallon of acetone inside of it you can put Styrofoam and plastic inside of it and it will melt.It will form a Real mess But if you take like 200 pounds of plastic and let it melt inside there a little at a time it’ll be a really good boui for your anchor When it dries literally you could use a whole lot of Styrofoam and a whole lot of plastic and make like a little 5 gallon bucket buoy cut the bucket off of course
