There's a lot of sailing videos on KZfaq but there's something special about yours. I hope one of the major television stations picks up your show. You guys are some very special people and I love you both for all the entertainment you've given me. You deserve to be famous. ❤❤❤

While it’d be nice to see them highly funded, it’d be a shame for them to sell their souls to a network.

Being picked up by a TV network is the last thing you ever want. You should hear how Fast N’ Loud got stiffed by Discovery Network. Gas Monkey Garage owner Richard Rawlings talked about on Joe Rogan podcast. Now because Richard Rawlings signed that dummy contract. He is now prohibited under contract with Discovery to produce any car related content in perpetuity on any platform. Even if his show Fast N’ Loud is already canceled.

because they are humble, quiet a rarity in this modern era ! and for once a knowledgeable sailor who finally tell the biggest secret from the professionals TEFF_GEL the one and one only put it everywhere ! I did lift an engine in the 410 to change the oil pan I put a plank on top of the hatch with two risers so the hatch aluminium would not bend then I used the boom and sheet to lift the engine one part on the engine one part on the wood-hatch going to the boom lifted well and lift enough to access sail drive to change the front seal, I did it in two days while in the water ! keep up the vidéo it's my first winter in Montreal since 8 years and I don't miss working on boats in the heat that much ! glad you are in the water !

G'day Ash & Ben, I have Carbon Fibre masts installed on my 2020 McConaghy MC60, and it made a huge freaking difference mate. The performance was absolutely noticeable immediately. The CF masts definitely made my catamaran faster (really punches through the wind) , it's also a lot stiffer and stable. The stiffer hull provides a much more comfortable motion, at sea or on anchor. For those cruising monohulls, Carbon Fibre masts really reduces pitching and heeling, therefore increasing performance and certainly making bluewater, open-ocean cruising more comfortable. The CF masts are 50% lighter than aluminum, Carbon Fibre lasts twice as long, without having to be serviced. Plus, CF masts are built fully customizable and allows for an unlimited range of choices what hardware you want and where you prefer your gear to be mounted. The masts are completely built to your specs and built specifically to improve your boats absolute performance! The difference between Aluminum vs Carbon Fibre is absolutely noticeable. However, the major downside is the cost. Carbon Fibre is definitely not cheap, but when you decide to circumnavigate the globe, it's absolutely worth every cent. Good luck getting Nahoa seaworthy and ready for her next major passage mate. Cheers from Margaret River, Western OZ 🇦🇺.

Great to be back guys 😊 to stop Seacocks and other brass yacht fittings from weakening/corroding and snapping like that you need to invest in DZR brass fittings. DZR stands for Dezincification Resistant Brass. You can also get Bronze fittings which prevent corrosion like DZR brass.

Stainless steel nuts and bolts seize all the time. At the RR, we use either no oxide or anti seize but that stuff gets everywhere. When it seizes, you have only 1 choice, cut it off. Stainless in aluminum corrodes badly and again you have to use no oxide on those. Most of the time that grey stuff as you call it is called marine tex.

Tefgel is the best for fittings that need to be removed. Not great for fastening such as the machine screws that the mainsail track is fastened with as the screws can back out. This happened to me while delivering a Swan 86 across the Atlantic and we could not lower the main to reef it as the machine screw heads stopped the sail car slides from passing which resulted in 2 trips up the rig to fix. In the meantime we ripped the main from the ensuing flogging until we could lower the sail after screwing the fastenings back in. For corrosion protection between dis-similar metals where you require the fastening to stay in place Duralac is a more appropriate product.

Good boat builders NEVER take the bulkhead right up to the hull. They sometimes use a 12 mm. cord in the space between bulkhead and hull or they temporally fix Bh in place with bog in spots and then glass in the un bogged parts, then grind out the bog and glass the whole bulkhead perimeter. If the bulkhead goes all the way to the hull you will get squeaking in a seaway and eventually hard lines showing on the outside of the hull.
