This is awesome for those of us who don't have big fleets and pro's on the boat to watch and listen. Thanks!

Great vid. The skipper is collected and calm. I'd love to sail on those Js one day.

Makes my heart pound! Amazing video footage. ❤ the commentary! Miss those racing days on Cape Cod @ Pleasant Bay w sailing camps. (Circa 1978). Some serious sailing skills ODD ONE.

I am a good enough sailor to know Andy is really special. I have done a couple of regattas with him back in the day.

Things went really well at the leeward mark. What was happening with the two boats on which you didn't have water at the mark and gybed behind? They seemed to really lose out as you hardened up and rounded? Specifically number 23.

So when the Tactician/trainer was asking for a couple of less degrees of heel to the helmsman was he really asking for him to point higher?

Reeeaaalllly fascinating. The audio is great but how was that dinghy able to follow the boat through the fleet like that, even on a practice day?

Shot on a drone with mics on the guys

@@totowolff7871 I was a def a chase boat not a drone. You can see it's motor on one occasion and it's prop wash several times.

Thank you! Two mics on the sailors, a great RIB driver and the ability to stay right on their hip. The audio cuts out as the traffic comes to the weather mark; bluetooth not able to penetrate the wall of sails! Looking forward to doing more of these as they are so much fun and packed full of good instruction.

Schade das es nicht geklappt hat. Konnte eine Ursache für den Mastbruch gefunden werden?

Can ya make a video explaining headers and lifts
@GeorgieWorgiey9 ай бұрын
The wind is constantly shifting, and as a result the direction the boat can sail is moving with it. The course is set and doesn't move. So if the wind shifts in a way that is favorable to the boat relative to the set course it is said to be a lift, as the lifted boat's noise can aim higher up the course. If the wind shifts in a way that forces the boat further away from the mark then the shift is a header, as the boat must head down relative to the course.

Out of curiosity, what was used to record the Audio?
