I still remember the first time I saw this on TV and it blew my mind. I was used to western shows where the villain never gets defeated and they just kinda go on forever. Couldn't believe they actually fought and killed Beryl, it was awesome.

Unicorn of War GAMING I grew up with the English dub I loved Sailor Moon and when I go up I realized oh her name isn’t Serena and his name is Darian it’s you Usagi and Mamoru I also remember thinking that Michelle and Amara were really close for cousins and that they acted more like girlfriend and girlfriend then cousins and then I grew up and found out LAR I understand why they did that because you got a member this is like the mid 90s and this is being shown as a kid show we weren’t really ready to except gay people in media and they wanted to get as much of a broad audience as possible so they had to make the zoicite a girl and Amara and Michelle cousins. Also most five and four-year-olds wouldn’t get it because it wasn’t the norm that we were used to and this is what the target audience was by the way kids 10 and under I am a 90s baby so growing up now I have to get used to all these new changes but I miss miss the double voice for Sailor Moon she was amazing

Well, that's the thing: Zoisite wasn't homosexual in the manga; in fact, he was romantically linked with Princess Mercury. All the generals were beaus of the Sailors, but for whatever reason, that subplot was removed and Zoi became a shadow of his manga self with a creepy attachment to Kunzite. Frankly, the anime version of Zoicite works better as a girl.

Jennifer Chi and the Sailor Moon DiC early seasons are just fun! After the season with the Specter Seasons, the English version went downhill from there.

I feel Sailor Moons animation was just superior and always on character model. Every frame is carefully drawn and no shortcuts! Not like today’s anime.. where they simplify the visuals and shortcut the animation..

I have to admit, while I definitely liked song and the vid you've got here, I'd completely missed how very 80s/early 90s this song sounds the last few times I was listening. Oh electric guitar from 1:20 to 1:24, you always make me think of the first Power Rangers opening. Not, of course, that ANY of this is at all a bad thing.

One thing i love about the Sailor Moon Community is that we are so positive to one another. I recall being a stupid boy when i was young and saying to my sister how this was stupid. But i watched it one night and felt so freakin bad for teasing her. Given i was 10-11 but still i felt so awful because i saw what an amazing show this was. And never had the guts to apologize. So i finally over Yule made up with her years later and admitted she was right and how i would secretly sneak down stairs at night and watch this show because i was in love with the plot and it broke my heart at the end when there was no more episodes. I just was like , please can i have more. Because i realized this show got me through one of the hardest times in my life. And as a stupid man i ridiculed my step sister for it. While its water under the bridge by many years and years. and years. I still feel bad. WE LOVE YOU SAILOR MOON

Hahaha I know right? Still, at least you just see a lot of leg; they're also wearing leotards underneath the skirts, so it's not as if they're flashing their underwear if the skirts fly up! xD But then again, I was a ballerina and wore short skirts and leotards like that all the time as a kid, so maybe I'm just weird. lol I love the show too! I just started watching Sailor Moon last year, and it brought let me and my girlfriend meet because I had gotten the first and second manga for my birthday and I brought the first one to school and let my friend borrow it then I let my girlfriend borrow it and thats how we met 😅 (it was this year in late April- damn how time flies) but I never liked the DiC/Cloverway dub since they made Haruka and Michiru (Amara and Michelle) cousins, Zoisite a girl, and Fish-Eye? A girl ;-; But I absolutely love this song

That's really cool that you're cosplaying as Mars. My favorite was always Mercury, but what can I say? Blue was always my favorite color and nerds are awesome (in hindsight I think is is also why Billy, the original Blue Ranger, in Power Rangers was my favorite). Also: you get to go to Anime Expo? I'm jealous. The only con I can ever make it to is Anime Iowa.
