The New Orleans Saints made one of the better moves of the draft when they selected QB Spencer Rattler. The Saints felt, rightly so, that Rattler had a lot of serious potential. And it looks like the Saints may have been exactly right. Fans of the New Orleans Saints should be excited by this news.

I agree with Dallin Holker. Not only is he skilled at the TE position, but that is a position in which the Saints need improvement. Great fit and great steal as a UDFA.

I wanted him for the Seahawks for the Saints or other team and I root for looking forward to seeing him ball out. He was a real sleeper in the draft.

The Saints realize what they did when they selected Rattler in the 5th. They got a young talented QB with a superior arm. They got a quarter back that they can continue to build around. Rattler will be good, just look at the tape and how he plays, it will translate to the pros easily. He's greatest ability is his mental capacity to process plays, having control of the huddle, leadership, he can be all those things. The intangibles are there.

He was benched twice in college. Clocked at 5.0 40 a 2.5 RAS and a slow processor. He will be a career backup. Overhyped and overrated.

I saw the video title and wondered who they were talking about, because NO Saints coach ever says “Blown Away” by someone, and they all speak very monotone and down play everything. Then I saw it was about Rattler🤦‍♂️ This misrepresents what was said, which was essentially, paraphrasing, “it’s rookie minicamp for Christ sake, he’s getting guys in and out of the huddle and hasn’t held up practice, so that’s good.”

I think the player that could be a sneaky good pick is # 7 pick Josiah Ez??? He has the physical tools, 6'5, 325 lbs, 35 inch arms. I read that in high school he ran the 100 meters in around 12 seconds, which is great for a big man. The Saints have had a pretty good record in the past with linemen from small schools with great athletic profiles i.e. Jahri Evans, Terron Armstead et, al.

Spencer Rattler, and Dallin Holker the UDFA TE from Colorado State. I think he's a perfect fit for Kubiak's offense.

Rattler was born to be an NFL quarterback and has already gone through the gauntlet of media and critics. His mental toughness and football IQ along with his leadership will serve him well. He will succeed and make everyone around him a better player. Rattler will even make Derek Carr better because of competition at practice.

Should have picked Joe Milton. That would have been a real steal. Dude can throw the ball 100 yards. Was productive at Tennessee and had good numbers. Played well against top talent. 6'4''and 250 runs a 4.5. Runs well and powerful. Big and strong and will hold up well in NFL. College graduate. With an arm that strong you have to bring in a guy like this and take a look.
