"You and me? We're going to the top!" Well that ends my Saints Row 2 Redux walkthrough in 4K. Definitely the highlight of the series and one of the best gangster games out there! It's a shame the PC port is so broken but I tried my best to get the game looking and playing decent despite some technical issues. I'll see you guys in Rockay City (technically Miami) with Crime Boss: Rockay City coming out next week - looks like it might be an interesting title. :)

You know how it is. It went from nearly getting shot, getting canonized, had our own gang, nearly blown up on a boat, survived and reunited with Johnny Gat, and lost Carlos. Then, it goes to getting famous, to being the president of the United States, then becoming Agents of Mayhem, to this. We get a bunch of college kids trying to pay off student loans, instead of being real gangsters. This right here explains how Saints Row went from being good to bad.

A nice ending and I like how the Boss says 'This is our city, we do whatever we wanna do'. Such a great game. Unfortunately, this is the last game in the series to be set in Stilwater and have the gangsta theme. The future games took a radically different step, and it wasn't a good step.

Agreed, I've played all the saints games up until after 4. And 2 still remains at the top in terms of story telling and just plain fun. Even the side activities are fun for me.

It's true, although 3 is the last good one, the idea of improving the graphics engine, a more festive map and crazy things was the last good one in 2011

For me, Saints Row 2 is one of the best crime open world along with GTA San Andreas. The story, gameplay, open world, details and so much stuff to do in stilwater is just awesome.

Nice job! Dane should've a much more better stronger weapon than just a pistol alone and maybe he would've stood a better chance at fighting the protagonist. Plus, the boss fight would've been better as well because of it. Btw, if you ever do the DLC missions and taker over the last stronghold in the game, I wish the best of luck to you in doing those.

Viola: I knew the Saints wouldn't believe me when I came to them for help. Oleg hated me for turning him into a science fair project, Zimos was still grumpy about the Pony Cart thing, Pierce never bothered to learn my name, and Shaundi was a vindictive bitch. It didn't matter though--the boss understood a thing or two about revenge.

2024 and finishing saint row 2 on xbox 360 at age 11 was one of the best gaming experiences I think 3 is good, I currently play it on PS3 but this is a timeless masterpiece

There were some parts of Steelport which were OK like central Downtown, but apart from that is felt bland.

Donnie: Then came Zinyak. He snatched me from right out of my garage, thinking I knew how to stop the Saints. He should've done a bit more research first, but I guess he was too busy trying to conquer Earth. I got myself out of the Domination Matrix only to find I was trapped on his damn ship. At least now I have the boss here to help me. I think we have a real shot at making it home.

When I first completed the game a few years ago, I ended up dying at the same time as Vogel. I thought I was going to have to play the mission all over again. The screen went black for 2 minutes, and the mission complete screen popped up. I hit continue and was teleported to the street. I ended up playing everY single side mission thinking I missed something, only to figure out the cutscene skipped.

Sharp: Donnie let himself get too close. He was Joseph's friend, but he valued his relationship with Lin too much to see what was right in front of his face. Lin brought everything down and Donnie let it happen. If he wasn't so close to my nephew, I would have put him in that trunk with her.

Watching this series right before buying Cyberpunk 2077 gave the game an alternate storyline where a gang led by a sociopath maniac created a giant, corporate-armed city bent on making sure nobody from some chump gang holds power over urban civilization again.

Dane Vogel ain't shit, it's good that he's gone. The last good SR, the following titles started being crap overall because Volition wanted to stay further away from GTA as the first two games were too similar to the GTA series and being called "GTA rip-offs" by game journalists back then even though they were very different apart from the formula.
