This game has no stripper poles, most people say it's a mix between 2-3 but for that reason alone, I think it's nothing like those game. If you played 2-3 you'd understand why.

The release destroyed my optimistic side of this game. But, I still do hope that the dlc and patches will make it worth while.

I could talk about my thoughts and opinions on this reboot for hours, but for me, it just comes down to.. why? why is this Saints Row? These small decisions i question.. why. I don’t think it would have been as bad/mixed by fans if they’d have just made this a new IP. slapping SR on it really affects the lense I look at this with and how so much just seems slightly off or not quite what I’d want.

When the game tried to make a joke it barely landed, when the game tried to go dark it was hilarious AF .. Power of friendship lmao 😂.

Just my opinion, but the S3 remaster looks just as good graphically.

sr1 and 2 is where I draw the line, this is shit when was saints row about upgrading skills tree and hp bars smh

I see Nina's scene so skippable, she is a character that has nothing interesting or background, just goofy dialogues and out of nowhere they put something emotional on you its just so bad

For all the people saying the game is not about story it’s about having fun, what else is a single player game for exactly? The problem with gaming is that y’all made it ok for companies to have the choice to give you one and not the other because hey it don’t matter they still gonna buy it. God of war story makes the gameplay what it is because everything plays off each other, even games that didn’t need stories started adding them nobody cared about not having a story for madden or 2k but once it was added all that was asked was that it was good. Gameplay and customization alone is not going to save the game especially when the only good customization is the vehicles. The map big and empty and on top of that they sold y’all a dlc that is just as dull as the initial game. You can like it or hate it but don’t make people seem like they’re crazy for not liking it.

The Mexican chick scene is terrible I'm sorry that crappy music playing in the background makes it awful no matter what music you play it makes a scene terrible if it's serious if Carlos was executed and Mariachi music started playing it would have the same impact no it would make it awful

I don't understand why she shoves him off during the scene where she's sad about her car. The boss tries to put his hand on her shoulder, ie to comfort her, and she just shoves him off. This just seems like she's telling him to piss off, which makes no sense cause he's trying to show he's there for her when she needs him. Am I missing something or it just bad writing?

so my take on this, not having the game is that the problem people are really having is that its not the original saints row. they said from the beginning it wasnt going to be. people are upset that the characters from the original games arent in this one. ive heard that the world isnt really filled out with people and traffic (i believe that can be fixed with patches in the future). the story is hit or miss, some people are mad that its about young "whiny" people complaining about not having any money. i think that may be from just being upset for not having the OG characters in the game. but in terms of controls, it takes getting use to, im ok with that. and HOPEFULLY a casino dlc/update might happen in the future. i have become invested in this game and i know all i need to do is get it for myself and play it but full price for me right now if its as bad as people are saying aint happening. from what i have seen from early release and day one playthroughs, keeping away from story spoilers, doesnt scare me as much as all the talk, but im just basically commenting on several different channels to see other peoples takes. for me 1. i honestly dont really care about the fact that there are new characters in this game, so that isnt a negative for me (not trying to anger anyone by saying that) 2. what i have heard nobody is complaining about the player/vehicle customization, and that IS something that is drawing me to the game. 3. controls are clunky, and take getting used to. im good with that. people have said that some basic things like taking cover arent implemented. thats not a deal breaker, but very strange 4. story is hit or miss. i want a story i can follow. it doesnt matter really to me what the story is as long as there is some flesh to it. 5. no one has really said anything good or bad about graphics. (i think someone did say they looked dated). what ive seen im fine with. 6. empty world. i believe that could be updated or patched 7. no interiors. i dont have to have that personally to enjoy the game but being in fictional Vegas no casinos is a huge, missed opportunity. surely, they will add casino dlc (probably be GTA V all over again though) sorry for the long probably dumb post it just that too many people have bashed this game harder than ive seen in a while and i just want to get as many opinions as possible on it before i waste money on it.

honestly after beating the story i feel this is less saints row 3.5 and more saints row 2.8. like yes it's very saints row 3. but it's got a lot of what made 2 really good. the story is nowhere near as bad as people make it out to be. it wont be winning any awards and it's predictable as hell but it IS a decent story. Honestly it might just be my new favorite saints row game less because of what it achieves and more because it feels like they put saints row 3 in a world like saints row 2. fleshed out. open. diverse. and plop in SR3 to give it the goofy fun factor that makes saints row what it's known for.

Wanna save the game in the future throw actual gang bangers or a ruthless cartel as a dlc ....maybe the game will have a second leg to stand on and not fall back on gameplay alone ....so sad to see saints row get butcherd like this .....only thing that can save the franchise is a remaster at this point

Unfortunately when the gameplay is good but the story and characters are horrible(like almost every reviewer has said it is), it’s just not worth it.

This is the only first impression that I've seen that has a good ay on the gameplay. From what I've seen from others this game is outright disastrously bad with game braking bugs and such. My hopes were shattered that perhaps I'm gameplay this game would at least feel like SR but this helped me a bit.

I had no idea what to expect coming into this game seeing as I've played sr2 the most, but I've enjoyed all 10 hours I've put into it so far. Best driving and gun play out of any saints row yet, and there's way more to do in the game in general then in the past games.

I like the story the game is good

The only good games out of this saints row is saints row 1 and saints row 2. Saints row 2 is by far my favorite open world game and how it plays out with the story and the game play with your custom character, the activities that you had to do when you want to play another mission, the npcs, the main gang members, gang members as well, even the the other gangs that you go up against. The customization with the cars and cribs which the cribs in saints row 2 was fun and amazing to customize. It sucks that they changed it because it was supposedly copying the gangster game play of gta which in fact it really didn't. The game had its own style and it was better in my opinion of gta. But that's my opinion about the game. This new one it's just the same as saints row 3 and saints row 4 just not good. I hate that they changed the game and this reboot is not good. I miss the saints row 2 game and I hope that they bring that style of game back. Maybe I just miss spraying shjt on npcs in the second game...... I'll just keep play saints row 2 still. Danm this shjt is long Y'all have a good one though

Honestly so far, my time with this game has been fun. Went in with little expectations considering i never really played a saints row game before and its been enjoyable. Id say if you wanna pay the 60, go into it with a mindset of just having fun.

I was resistant going into playing this because of all the negative press but to be honest I’m actually enjoying the game in both the single player and definitely in coop. It’s a bit glitchy here and there for sure but when my cousin and I play we have fun so I don’t care to much about the story; now would it be good to have a dope story? Of course and I’d prefer it but at the end of the day if we have enough fun to justify the $ spent then whatever!! It's a dumb shit game with amazing customisation options, decent graphics, characters could be better and the story is pretty decent so far. Better than fucking playing the same game *cough* *cough* GTA V over and over again anyways.
