It's time to call out the utter hypocrisy and incompetence of the Saints Row community manager. From labelling people who critique the reboot as "t*rrorists", to overall having a snarky smug attitude towards the fans that helped build the legacy of Saints Row. Enough is enough, I really don't see why Volition hasn't replaced her yet with someone who is actually willing to be the voice of reason between the fans and the developers, ya know... what a community manager is SUPPOSED to be doing. She's really not fit to manage this community. I'm sure she'll give some hand-wavy excuse to all this and claim that you're "peddling more drama," but when your job is to manage a community, and you keep agitating them, then you're doing a bad job. A majority of the community was severely let down by the reboot. Try and be more understanding of that instead of writing us off as undesirables. Maybe next time just don't call the game "Saints Row" and you'll never have to hear from us again.

I was trying really hard to enjoy it but I couldn't handle the cringe. Also my game is broken because I can't take one of the fast travel photos because I got run over as I was taking the photo and it glitched. Now I can't take that photo and my game is glitched not allowed me to fast travel to the casino strip area.

Really wish Volition had the “we don’t care” mentality during SR3, we might’ve actually gotten a few decent sequels that were faithful to the original games. Oh well, i guess appealing to the 5 people on twitter who bought this dumpster fire of a game was more important.

We're too far along in development however to just pull the plug, and remove the experience from those who will love it. We'll use this oppurtunity to gather feedback and improve on our next game. I'm really glad you made this video, dude. I FIRMLY believe that Steph herself harmed the sales of the game. Like... game news outlets made articles about the HATERS GONNA HATE line. Sure, the reboot wasn't going to be a success either way, but I think things would have gone much more middle of the road had she not CONSTANTLY argued and attacked fans publicly. Obviously you'll never hear her mention this but the reason why the Metro series along with Exodus were review bombed was because Deep Silver completely screwed over PC players who had already pre-ordered Exodus on Steam by saying it would be exclusive to the Epic Games Store even tho they promised it would be on Steam. They even pulled the same garbage with Shenmue 3 and then said that customers would be denied refunds. So you can't tell me that people were just protesting and trolling when they had every right to express their anger and frustration with how poorly handled your customer service was.

Though I'm not the OG-est of OGs, I did play SR1 briefly, but played fully through SR2, 3, and 4. Personal favorite story-wise is definitely 2. Played 3 and 4 co-op with a good friend of mine thus had quite a bit of fun there as well. So when SR Reboot popped up, even with all the signs pointing towards it being not so good, we kept hope alive that it would be. Sadly we we wrong. And yet in the back of my mind I figured I'd grab it at a deep, deep discount once it got on Steam so I can play it with that friend and we can laugh at how our favorite co-op franchise was utterly ruined. But according to DeadlySteph, we - who still to this day joke about "representing" whenever we wear purple in real life or in other games - should stay away because clearly this game isn't for us haters. Okay then. Guess we'll do exactly that. RIP Saints.

The biggest issue to my opinion are huge the numbers of activists on every level within the studios, what surprises me is that this still comes as a surprise to so many gamers. Since this crap already has been going on since 2010. With many industry vets who made the various franchises great being pushed/bulied out between 2010 & 2016. Another issue alot of younger generation employees (cause it arent only devs who are the problem). Who flooded straight into the industry from the ideologically reformed"universities & industry educational programmes. Sarkeesian wasnt lying when she recently bragged she'd won, besides making censorship and androgyny the industry standard. Her biggest W was that she was let into various studios & publishers and got access to their HR departments & educational progammes. We're dealing with fundamentalist to whome their twisted ideology trumps (no pun intended) everything and anything no matter the cost. People seem to have forgotten but between 2010 & 2016 there were plently of reports who complained or were worried about the changes after a company invited in a feminist or feminist interest group. Than there also is a problem that a lot of young devs got into gaming during the second half of previous gen, when the PS first party games dropped. And thus dont really understand franchises and the attached fanbases that have been around for decades.

Unfortunately this is a thing in all modern media now, blame the fans for everything bad, throw about the word “toxic” and remould old franchises into hollow, vapid experiences designed to just either make money or push a message all at the expense of the average joe who wants good characters, settings and stories to enjoy. CM’s like this lady are symptoms of a disease that is killing all forms of modern media and it seems this zeitgeist isn’t going to change for the better any time soon.

Imo Embracer Group seems disconnected from Volition because if they really cared the either restructure their staff or end the studio.Volition have been given so many chances and completely ruin their relationship with fans.

I tried to enjoy it, I really did, I focussed on doing all the side stuff FIRST and I was like "Its not as great as SR2 or 3, even 4, but its okay I guess" But then I noticed that my story progression went all the way up to 80% after doing JUST SIDE STUFF (And 1 story mission to level up empire) Noticing taking over the sitting isn't even tied to the story AT ALL, which is so odd, having your character complain about being broke while having millions, or saying that they need to take over stuff, while my map is purple! But then all that was left, was the story ans my god especially that ending, just made me so mad

Honestly if Saints Row 1 and 2 didn't exist then i wouldn't care about this Franchise.

They should've learned from Hello Games and CDPR about fixing broken games. Those two were like "Guys, we're so sorry about the games, We will try out best to fix the game. So stay tune." But in this case, Saints Row CM be like "You guys are stupid and haters gonna hate. Game is great and those reviews are trolls." Imagine pouring gasoline on the raging fire, lol.

I took one look at the announcement trailer for SR ‘22 and knew it’d be a train wreck. If you’re going to get rid of the fantasy of what people loved about the first few games, you have to give them something they didn’t know they wanted. Instead of gangsters or cringey college students why not make the characters ordinary desk jockeys for big IT companies. The most boring menial jobs possible, they decide to do something crazy to prove to themselves that their lives aren’t wastes and they can control their futures. They bite off more than they can chew and become the targets for the underbelly of the city. Now they find themselves slipping deeper and deeper into this lifestyle they weren’t fully prepared to handle and making decisions that compromise who they are as individuals to maintain their lives. Saints row is about building an empire and defending it against these people who are worse than you are, there are no heroes only winners and losers.
