Steelport was pretty dull since the beginning especially when it was compared to SR2's map

I prefer the darker tone of SR2. Some moments in the story really hit me hard.

man, I know it has nothing to do with Saints Row, but I just can't help myself to say that I can't wait to see your direct comparison between The Last of Us (2013) and The Last of Us Remake

Actually, there huge improvements compared to it's predecessor's, but this demo can't pace me to preorder Saints Row tell we get a clear 15 to 30 minutes gameplay, yet before one week of it is release date.

I love that they have brought back layering clothing and such, but I hope theres a ton more clothing.

The customization looks really good but having to go to certain shops or back to your crib to change really added immersion. Not gonna pre order or get at least a month after release. Gotta wait for the unpaid reviews come out.

I really didn't play Saints Row for the customization. I played it for the humor. And from what I've seen from trailers, it is completely lacking of that humor.

I'm surprised you didn't compare the customization options to the one in Saints Row 2

The worst part is how they kept saying "we will go back to our roots", knowing people would think SR1 and SR2. While they actually meant making SR3 again.

It would be a better game if it was attempting to lean into what made SR2 great. Not SR3

There's always something missing but to me the saints row reboot should'nt be a saints row game but it doesn't look that bad. The variety in locations, enviroment etc that's needed seems to finally be coming. Steelport was good but very plain and even dull after awhile. I can really get down with the system of having to own properties too be able to get more missions etc really fits the whole saints row ''take over the world'' formula. I'm always skeptcal about moderndays new game releases but too me it sounds like the reboot will add some much needed feature.

If the customization alone is gonna be this good across all things and not just the boss, guns, and vehicles, then it's making a lot more sense as to why there's only one Crib. Why have a lot of cribs with mediocre customizing when you can have one but personalize it with almost limitless options? The customization was cool for the time in SR2, but it's sorely outdated with only 3 or 4 options per room the cribs give. Some of that was limitations but some were due to multiple Cribs. They were better than SR3 cribs by default but not by a whole lot. Meanwhile we are seeing one Crib in the reboot and we see all kinds of stuff you can throw in meaning if you join other players' games, almost no Crib will look the same. The game looks fun and I probably won't take the story too serious since my standards fell to rock bottom after Gat Out of Hell. Also, I really like how they're doing this Vice City esque thing where you actually build a criminal empire from scratch but with more depth. And I love Las Vegas and the mysteries of its desert and Area 51 conspiracies, so I'm excited to explore this LV inspired world. My main fear though, is how polished it'll be when it launches. I'm sick of Volition releasing buddy stuff as of late. AoM, then SR3 remaster that was outsourced. Their reputation took a hit and I hope they understand that as they're making this game. The fans and this reboot will decide Volition's fate.

They made owning property more important to emphasize `controlling the city` feel yet completely get rid of plastic surgeons and clothing stores that you own?

Something about the world (and everything happening in it) looks... really lifeless and dull for some reason. Boring looking towns and streets, npc's void of life, even the shooting and driving just looks...really off. Looks like a playerbase modded map for saints row 3 or something. Will wait and see.

There’s very little excitement for this and it can be attributed to the style they chose for the new one. Gamers are not really into those looks. I don’t know why companies keep shoving it in their games.

Gameplay wise, SR looks good. I'm not a fan of how the story is looking so far though.

5:30 "options to disable fall damage" Um more like options to disable all damage. At max level with all unlocks you basically can't die.

The Boss factory is missing many sliders we had in past SR games and the gender slider is not very good for female characters they look weird I would rather have the male and female body types separate and have multiple default body types for each gender if they don't want to give us the sliders for some reason. However it would obviously be best if they bring back the old slider system instead of just giving us set default options for eyes, noses, cheeks and other features. If the boss factory is the same as the final game I actually see it as a step down in customisation options from the previous games but is obviously a step up in graphics, which however I think this is why the reason the sliders are gone to increase the characters graphic quality.

Everybody says SR3 is the best but in reality everybody wants a Saints Row like SR2.

My main worry for this game is that in every game bar 1 (which I didn’t play), I played the boss as a cockney, business focused badass who walked through hails of bullets and fire. I don’t get the feeling that this game is written with that type of Boss in mind

I love customization in my games and it seems they made a big effort to give the player a lot of customization and upgrading, I love that. The setting and world-building also looks the best it has been in a while for saints row. I didn't think I would say this when I saw the announcment trailer but I'm actually kind of hyped to play this game now. The only thing holding this game back for me is the story and characters, I just dont like them at all, the gameplay isn't that impressive either but at least there is some hope now.

I wasn't too thrilled at the reboot at first the information and video had me worried, but the latest info and trailer has me excited again and it's now back on my radar!

I still hate how it seems they've turned it into a more child orientated game and removed the crude humour. The SR "gang" members look ridiculous and I don't like the other gangs in the game either. It's a shame because I've been wanting a new SR for years.

You left out being able to customize aerial and water vehicles and every vehicle having their own special ability and the options to have stuff like tow cables installed now :)

The Third will always be the best one of the series…

If the Npc im the world is lifeless just like Saints Row 3 and 4 it doesn't matter how colorful and bright the world is in the Reboot if the Npcs does nothing the world would be just as lifeless

Character customization may have more sculpting options now but some of those options are very restricted compared to the older games.

Since we're on Saints Row, you never got around to comparing the GTA trilogy remastered with its originals! It seems to have improved a lot since its release, and would be nice to have an comparison as playing those it does feel like a step up while retaining that classic feel

SR2 is one of my all time favorite games I wish they would go back to the old days

Fooled around in the boss factory for a few hours, i would say SR3-4's chara customisation is still so much more satisfying. The boss factory is 80% picking presets and do minor adjustments to them. Lot of possibilities for goofy sht, but creating an entity that doesnt look like an alien is pretty difficult. Still interested in the game, but probably not gonna PO, modders have some work to do before i would dip in.

I can't wait to play it. I've been waiting so long for a new SR game. Didn't think they'd ever make one again. I love the character customization. One thing I hope for is that they've included more character interactions with NPCs.

Ngl it would be sad if saints row 2022 didn't have cheat codes like the other games

I don't know why so many people still seem to have doubts, this has really exceeded my expectations on a few fronts, the customization alone makes CD Projekt's empty bragging about Cyberpunk's customization look silly.

finally, someone who is giving the reboot a fair chance. it legit looks great. i made a gargoyle-faced monstrocity by having the left/right part of the face at opposite extremes. one nitpick i have is that you can't change the voice pitch of the boss like in 4. i liked having a squeaky voice on my nightmare face.

I'm guessing Saints Row isn't on the docket anymore.

SR3 Remastered is a damn good looking remaster.

What about the fact that in previous Saints Row you could also choose the fighting style in a few ways, like boxing, karate, etc. SR2 had a relatively robust third person fighting system, like in the prison scene which was memorable. I hope the new one has it, cause that was something to be conservative about 👌😂

For the past many years I have been a fan of the saints row series. When I saw a few minute gameplay of this I'm thinking wow they just made saints row the way its suppose to be. Its because from saints row 1, 2, and the third were awesome. But on saints row 4 and the gat out of hell game I feel like they tried way to hard on those two games. Like how can you go from being a gangster to being president and fighting aliens. Now I'm not gonna lie I did enjoy saints row 4 and gat out of hell but not that very long like the first three saints row games. But again there is no hate from me about the games that the developer and publisher. When I saw the new saints row reboot I immediately believe they got it right and it looks very fun. The glider thing in my opinion looks way better to use than using a parachute all the time like saints row the third. I like how the landscape of the game is not all just city like. To me its like a version of just cause and mercenaries 2 being mixed in together into an open world that's full of different areas of the game. I am looking forward to this title releasing and as for the people who already show hate towards the title. Don't judge a game by the title and don't judge the early video gameplay before its release until you ACTUALLY play the game. Now you all can agree or disagree with me I mean you all have the right to your opinion, but I am looking forward to the game, and new story that comes to it

i gotta say, i loved Saints row 3/4 and GOOH, but man this look fire

It’s funny how they tried to get away from the gta comparison, because the original games of saints row that were similar to gta were my favourite (I even preferred them to the gta games!) and re-played them start to finish multiple times over the years. But the moment they tried to move away from the comparisons of gta by making 4 onwards even more futuristic, unrealistic and silly, I actually hated them, to the point I gave up playing 4 part way through and never even bothered getting Gat out of hell. The look of the reboot appeals to me more than I expected it to, but it still looks a little to futuristic for my liking 😬 but I think it looks like they may of done a good job of keeping the fans of both older & newer games happy, like it’s taken parts of both by bringing some parts of the original games back without making it seem old fashioned & outdated like the first 2/3 are now, as well as adding some parts of the newer games, but not made it as unrealistic & silly as the 4th game.

My complaint is, they should've made the 100 on the chest slider be a little bigger like maybe a D, DD, or DDD size instead of it being a B sized cup for female characters, but when males have it stays that size

I got a feeling this is gonna be like borderlands 3 where the actual gameplay feels really good but the story is so bad people just steer clear from it

Saints row 3_is where the series left off, 4 was just an experiment.

I feel like the one thing that the new Saints Row is missing in terms of it's world (I know you'll go over it once the game is out) is the details. Sure the world looks nice and big, but stuff like the towns seem really empty. It just kinda looks like building assets placed next to a road texture.

This is going to be the Far Cry 6 of the Saints Row series. I'll just buy the game on sale for $20 within a month
