Since getting my hands on an X-55 I have found that the position of the top hats/pickle button is such that I have to lift my wrist to reach them. For me the wrist rest needs to be about 10mm higher. After some consideration, my solution is to pad out the hand rest on the base of the stick with some foam.
I used masking tape to mark out the shape of the rest and then transferred that to the 10mm thick foam sheet and cut it out.
To allow actuation of the forward most button on the stick itself I used a small piece of 1mm plastic. This allows me to still actuate the button even though it is half covered by the foam.
Works pretty well even if it looks a little ghetto IMHO.
