Nah she played Clean tbh. She says its cuz of nerves but her gameplay is pretty clean but of course, her opponents played really well too. She lost but did great. Some of those rounds went down to guessing wrong on the Okizeme mixups

Man I feel bad that Rosemi wasn’t performing her best during the event. I can understand the nervousness from a competition sense and how the mental of how those matches went can linger. But with what we know she can do I’m sure if she continues this she’ll do great in the game.

That’s not the point at all, Bushin and Raijin were playing against Rosemi, how was she supposed to defeat them? Here is a question for those who selected opponents. The rest played with more or less equal in strength, and she was given opponents who were 100 times stronger and let’s get out of it as you want. Well, imagine that you’ve been playing for a week and they’ll put you against the Tekken God and what will you do?

Rosemi did really well in that last match, despite crazy nerves and being sick. She almost took a game off the best player in the tournament who wasn't a coach. Hope she gets in more tournaments later.

She played clean that last match. But she noticeably played a lot safer after the 2 wins. Jack plays better when the game is slower and long distance so it went to Jack favored from there. There were too many times they played at range 3 and 4 which puts a lot of risk on Rosemi trying to approach. Also, slower game = Power Crushes are stronger

Kinda crazy how critical some people are of Rosemi, it was her first tourney experience and she had to face the toughest tier of opponents, she will get better with experience, it was also a casual tourney yet people are acting as if she trolled in TWT or something

I think its mainly because 2 reasons: 1) Because there was not enough footage to see gameplay of rosemi beforehand, and only her post about her achieving purple rank and few clips, people starting overhyping and expect her to be better than she is at the moment. 2) on the 8 of march when were round robin matches she didnt pick her main, and played zafina and yoshi instead, and so now in hindsight after the tournament ended they think that if she played lily, her main character, than her team would of had better seeding or atleast that her team suffered for her decision because she didnt play "seriosly" that day.
@harpot678

@@Leo15101993 Also she sandbagged with her main character on the first day to hide her tech while gaining intel on her opponent in a casual tournament. Sandbagging is a valid strategy, but is basically telling your opponent 'I value keeping my secrets/playstyle information safe over the result of today, so I can get better results in the future'. The hype kept building around Rosemi because 'Oh she just did bad because she didn't actually try, she's gonna show the REAL stuff on Sunday'. I really think if she had the exact same results but went her main the whole time, the reaction could have been VERY different.
@everrunic8375

@@harpot678either that or maybe she just have extra nervousness whenever she uses her main, the reason why she didn’t use lili in round robin. I guess she just gave in chat’s pressure to use lili in the final tournament day. All the hype and the harada chat visits must’ve taken over her head. Props to her though since she did say she wanted to join the tournament because she knows her followers would want her to join anyways basically just doing it for her chat. Also she has her 3d debut and i guess she was preparing for that and she never got a chance to properly practice for the tourney. Yeah i’m still confused with the purple rank tweet though because she was strategist during the tournament. She has Separate account? She got Demoted?

@@everrunic8375 Yeah, the hype went to extreme levels, there's a clip that goes like "There's someone in the tournament that went random characters to gain intel on their opponents and I don't know how I feel about that." How people percieved Rosemi was like this gigabrained mastermind hiding her power level while studying her opponents habits that they foolishly displayed in round robin pools.

I genuinely feel so bad for Rosemi. Everyone hyped her up so much which probably made her too nervous to play good. In all of her matches you can clearly see that she knows what she’s doing but a lot of the time fumbles like dropping combos and missing punishes. And on top of that she doesn’t have any tournament experience. Even if all the other players don’t have Tekken tournament experience, they still have tournament experience in other fighting games like league or valo which goes a long way in learning how to keep your composure during intense situations. I have no doubt if she gets more tournament experience she could perform very well. And also all the people sh*ting on her couldn’t even perform half as well as she did. They paired her up with some of the most competitive fighting players like boxbox and scarra and she was still able to take off some rounds. Even with all her nervousness she adapted to her opponent and caught them off guard a few times. No amateur player would ever be able to do that. I genuinely hope this experience doesn’t turn her away from more Tekken tournaments in the future because she deserves a chance to show how good she can actually be.

Hopefully Rosemi can beat her inner demons at some point and gets better at playing in front of an audience. Based on how she talks about the game and how she played, I'm sure she is quite good at the game when she isn't having a panic attack or something 😂

I hope Rosemi plays more Tekken. She was nowhere near good enough to be her team anchor, but she clearly knows how to move around and do combos. For someone who has supposedly never been in a Tekken tournament before, Rosemi has a ton of potential.

This is a very good lesson to Rosemi during this event. Her posting her rank in socials made Sajam hype her up, thus creating a situation whereby she’s already on the spotlight where everyone will be focused on you no matter what. And because there were so many Lilis in this event, ofc everyone will be prepared for her. Lili is a more “honest” character whereby she can’t just force pressure during the matches as compared to Victor where he can just random shoot a gun as a move in a fighting game ffs. A lot of could’ve should’ve would’ves, TLDR never let ppl know your Tekken Rank to not create drama/expectations so that even if you lose you can take it as a good experience. I can only imagine the extra stress Rosemi was taking on unnecessarily during the matches because of these extra expectations that was created just from the rank up post.
@aomafura3374
@aomafura3374 3 ай бұрын
Naaahh Rosemi did really well though. She definitely wasn’t playing below her rank. Her nerves may have been a factor but the biggest contributions to her losses were simple guessing game. Against Asuka, she took the most damage from guessing incorrectly in okizeme mixup situations. Against Victor, Victor is challenging correctly when she goes into back turn on block because she auto-pilots into her mixup. Even on-hit Victor is occasionally correctly guessing her mix. So you can say she lost because Victor played well in taking advantage of her wrong flowchart. But outside these, her gameplay is pretty solid, she plays neutral, spacing and approach pretty well. She even occasionally steps and whiff punishes, and when she’s too far, she also tried to punish with f4 because of spacing (though this gets blocked). So i say she played really well She lost to Guessing wrong on Oki Waking up incorrectly 22 BT mix on block Panic 22 that whiffed too many times These are easy to fix

if she didn't provide any info about her skill level, I doubt the tournament organizers would consider her as a participant in the event. Cause the organizers need to have a grasp of the skill level of each player since they are trying to pair them up with other people who's on a similar level as it is more fun/exciting to watch, rather than one player steam rolling all of over the other participants. I couldn't help but to say Rosemi did this to herself with all the hiding gameplay/sand bagging/"save that shit for nationals" she did, even if it wasn't intentional. if she had just shown more of her skill level, organizers might have placed her on a different tier, like what happened to another participant in the tourney.

GGs Team MYK, a tough but well fought 3rd place. For people without enough context, Rosemi's anxiety and stage fright aside, one can assume that the past month has been hell for her: - her coworker was suddenly fired, which led to nonstop drama and hate for weeks for Rosemi, her other coworkers, and their company as a whole (twitter, 4chan, reddit, everyone was and is still after them) - this led to an abrupt absence from her socials and streaming for said weeks - her 3D showcase that she had been working on behind the scenes will be revealed soon (massive deal for vtubers, absolutely cannot let flop) - rude viewers shittalking her in multiple streamers' chats including her own - she was audibly sick and had a borderline panic attack on stream You can be disappointed in her performance and her choices, but ffs don't be an asshole. That's a lot of shit for one person to deal with. Even I'm sad she didn't live up to the hype. Rosemi did not intentionally sabotage her team nor intended to disrespect anyone. Sajam is not at fault for hyping her up either, he was simply stating the fact that all we knew was her rank. He only said it multiple times because that's what he's supposed to do when checking in on the progress of the streamers that joined his event. Please be respectful, it was a good event nonetheless.

I'm genuinely disappointed in Rosemi's performance. All the other streamers actually studied matchups and dedicated a lot of time for the tournament. I've looked into her streams and judging by it she's taking her time and just playing with it which is fine and all but seeing how dedicated the other streamers are, what she's doing just feels downright disrespectful. Plus after seeing other vtubers such us Botan and Korone and their progress for the CR cup and them actually winning at least 1 or 2 games against actual pros which is actually impressive considering that it was their first time, I had a bias towards vtubers exploring and connecting with the fgc but yeah... very disappointing

botan didnt win a single set until the third cr cup she participated in. the tournament was designed to have a variety of players at different skill levels with different coaching techniques to make for something interesting to watch and rosemi being in a tournament setting to begin with is a step further than most ever make it to. I get wanting the people you root for to win but dont take it that personally.

I understand where you’re coming from, I’m the same, I want to see her thrive, but her condition is not there I’m afraid. If only you could see how her nervousness really overtakes her focus in every game. Adding that she’s also sick, which known since Friday match, and combine it her panic attack (I just see it that way). But I guess you went past that. She did fight in the last round which I think pretty good despite those circumstances .

Allegedly, she grinds a lot off stream, so I can't really agree to the point that she didn't put in time to study the game. On top of that, of the non-coaches, it seemed that she has had the most Tekken exposure before this tournament from the previous games. Whether she thought this was a good reason enough to not practice, or not use her main during the round robin, I can't say. I won't make excuses for her, there's enough people doing that for her, but I wouldn't go as far to say that she wasn't dedicated to the tournament. From the few tekken streams of her's that I watched, I think she really does like Tekken though.
