There's something about seeing hornets stuck that is satisfying to me as well. I'm not sadistic, and if it was mostly any other animal I would feel bad, but these creatures deserve it. Protect the bees.

Hornets rely on the angry buzzing of its fellow hornets as a marker of where to land. The hidden genius behind this trap is that the ones who are stuck will become angry and start buzzing, tricking others to land nearby and get stuck themselves

No, not at all. When they are angry, or in defence, they omit a pheromone. Brings other Hornets in for many metres.

They are so majestic in their own way, to see them get sucked in by a gluetrap is almost funny. These strong beasts of a wasp are no match for glue! You can see how mad they get, then their face eventually ends up in it and its downhill quick from there. Good show. I enjoy seeing these killers get caught.

Stunning that you can just do that in other countries. Here in Germany hornets are under conservation and it is strictly forbidden to kill or remove them yourself. It's even a felony to hurt or kill one. But I guess these japanese giant ones are a real pest and that's why it's not forbidden to kill them. The smaller german hornets are not that dangerous and an important part of the ecosystem and they are pretty rare.

You probably live in a city… This is not European hornet. This is asiatic hornet and they are know in Europe as well! And they are a real plague! They are killing the bees, one of this hornet can kill a colony. So they must be kill! Is you see a nest or even one asiatic hornet is your duty to inform the authority. Every country in EU have a phone number for this google it.

Se mi posso permettere vorrei suggerirle anche un'altra trappola che mi sta funzionando. Una bottiglia di plastica non colorata aperta e con sopra la tip trap gialla appesa a circa 2.00 Mt circa riempita con: Due dita di zucchero, due cucchiai di miele millefiori, 500ml di birra, quella che costa poco. Le api non ci vanno, ma la vespa si. Noi abbiamo la crabro. Buon lavoro.

Bah vaut mieux qq abeilles mortes vu l efficacité du piège.. Les frelons peuvent decimer une colonie entière de plus de 10 000 abeilles en qq jours.. A choisir..vaut mieux qq abeilles mortes.. Je connais pas de technique plus efficace que ça.. le piège fonctionne 24h/24..même en l absence de l apiculteur

Remember this … some people use wasps and hornets as defense mechanisms - to defend their homes from being broken into. Suppose the criminals come all prepared and use the sticky flypaper to trap them … ooo you’d be toast. Sayonara to your belongings.

Are these bees not the native japanese honey bee? i was under the impression the native bees were able to cope with an attack, but maybe thats just one or two at at time.

These are hornets trying to invade the honey bee's nest. Opening isnt big enough so they mill around outside. The bee's stay inside nest during this time.

A larger native hive can deal with a scout or two, but not a full attack. Beekeepers are also lining the entrances of their hives with metal strips so bees can go in and out but the hornets cannot

در چهل سال پیش ، این چسب در تیوب فروخته می‌شد ، ما یک موش کوچک باهوش در خانه داشتیم اما هنگامی که سبیل او به چسبی که روی مقوا مالیده شده بود چسبید ، همان لحظه جان داد ، شاید سکته کرده بود چون می‌دانسته هیچ راهی برای جدا شدن و فرار از آن چسب وجود ندارد .

I think at the end they were all dead. While in an ideal world yeah, no animal should go through that, these hornets are extremely dangerous and invasive and the end kinda justifies the means
