🌸 🏫 /⚡ 💀 💕 @NeonReaperGaming It's fine Neon. Su has always considered her ears to be one of her "charm points". Good job spotting Moa's hearts and Yui's skull design. Each of the Sakura Gakuin members designed a t-shirt in collaboration with the MONO COMME ÇA company. The same company also designed the original Sakura Gakuin uniforms. The Sakura Gakuin song 'Hello Ivy' is a tie-in to their Ivy Comme Ça sub-brand. That Ivy/preppy style was very popular in Japan. There's a funny story where Suzuka and Ayami (unrecognized) went to one of the stores selling the t-shirts the Sakura Gakuin members designed, and they both cracked up when the sales person would recommend a design to try on.

I have to admit, when watching this video I'm looking more at the white shirt guy than at the girls. But watching Su in this is really fun as well. She has her own fascinating style different from everyone else. Her moves are always 110%, and she always has a facial expression to match them. All that being accompanied by a slight dorkiness is really entertaining.

@Martinmetal He's a hero. I heard he had been a big fan of Karen Girl's, and he bought admission for a bunch of his friends to try and make sure that this first Sakura Gakuin event was a success. There was an earlier show that day, so he had a chance to learn some of the dance moves. : )

Sakura Gakuin is the top line among the teens the agency manage. Yui and Moa were the youngest here but you can tell why they are in the group with this dance video.

Very perceptive on the hearts and skull. For this the girls drew the designs on their t=shirts; Yui drew the skull Su's wings come from a song she sang when she was in Karen Girl's. My Wings. The star power is in evidence here, a number of the girls are having good careers, and of course Babymetal. You can see what sets them apart, Yui and Moa among the best dancers for all they are the youngest on stage, they were still in elementary school. And 9 girls dancing as directed, and Su throwing in attitude and singing along. This was performed the same night Babymetal debuted with Doki Doki Morning

Love it! I can't get enough of this video. All the girls are talented, but Su, Yui and Moa really stand out from the crowd. Their choreographer Mikiko said in an interview that Su was the most natural dancer she'd worked with... but the best dancer in this video is the guy at the front right of the stage, affectionately known in the community as White T-shirt Guy! 48 days until BABYMETAL for me. SO. EXCITED!!!!!

I'd love some of the old classics. This'll be my first concert, so seeing old songs would be great. I won't hold my breath though. I have a feeling we'll get the same show the US got

@Teuchter Loon Now that 'DA DA DANCE' is out as a music video, I would expect it to be rotated into the setlist. But otherwise I wouldn't imagine much change from the US tour.

This song is awesome!! ... I stumbled upon this because of Babymetal and Sakura stuff and besides Moa and Yui looking so so damn kawaii, the song itself is really really awesome... there is a much "heavier" and "funkier" version of this with lyrics that I've incorporated in my playlists. Its a really fun song. But really the highlights here are those first Sakura girls. All of them. Maybe Airi stays a bit shadowed and seems to be even a little uncomfortable with all of this but the rest of the girls are great here. I love to watch this from time to time. The entrance of Nene, Raura and Marina is great... and yes, check the legendary "white t-shirt guy", he's trying to mimic everything happening onstage... a true enthusiast!!! That one could be me if I was there at that time :-D ... Great video, thanks for this Reaper!!

OMG that brought me back some memories from lucky star anime. I just got my tickets for BabyMetal going first time to Spain, hope corona wont stop that in June, btw last concert and a few weeks away from moa (my favorite one since i started my baby metal journey back in 2015), so maybe something interesting will happen.

Great stuff! As others have said, you have now (for the first time?) witnessed the legend and phenomenon that is "white t-shirt guy" doing all the dance moves. Did you spot him grabbing the nearest person when the girls all joined arms in a line so he could do those moves too? I think this was from the very first Sakura Gakuin show, so they didn't have a lot of their own songs etc yet.

I've got to mention that other than Nene, who decided to pursue a nursing career like her mom after graduation, and Yui, who is still listed as an Amuse artist, but hasn't been seen in quite a while, every other girl on that stage is currently pursuing a succesful career in entertainment, and/or the modeling business.

@Scott Humphreys I've heard that he was a big Karen Girl's fan, and was excited to hear that Ayami and Suzuka were part of the new group Sakura Gakuin. He probably learned the moves at the earlier matinee performance.

Oh, more SG :) I just finished watching their "First Live & Documentary 2010 to 2011" DVD today, for the 711th time! The dance routine from our girls in your reaction video is just amazing. SU is wild and YUI and MOA are just the cutest! :) And you got to see the man in the white shirt for the first time (I think), he's legendary! And btw I have the same t-shirt as YUI, Mono Comme Ca :) You have to start doing reactions to Sakura Gakuin Nendo Tests, from the start...you won't regret it (DeLorean...)

@@teuchterloon9130 They used to sell originals in different sizes and you could probably find one on Ebay, but be careful, there are bootlegs out there (those have a "yui autograph" on it, don't buy those).

Mikiko, Babymetal's choreographer, actually sees Suzuka as a great talent as a dancer. In part because Suzuka doesn't count, but she remembers the dancing by feeling the music, she is a natural. She also sings through feeling.

Nice reaction, I enjoy these old videos. I remember going to my daughter's concerts when she was in school (she played flute) but those where so tame compared to Sukura Gakuin, only the marching band came close.

Does any know why, MOA and YUI are wearing black shirts, one girl is wearing a grey/gray shirt and the rest of the girls are wearing white shirts? None of the shirts seem to have the same logo/pattern. The only thing that seems to be consist in uniform is the skirt patterns, white shoes and dark socks.

I know that shirts' designs were made by the girls themselves in collaboration with "Mono Comme Ça" fashion label, so probably the color was just a choice of the girl who made the respective design..

dont feel bad for recognizing su by her ears; she even said before her ears is one of her charm points. you can also recognize su by her 'unique' dance style xD Mikkio said that su was a natural dancer. she picks up the moves quickly and gives it her all. sometimes her effort make her movmements seem awkward and robot like xD

Sakura Gakuin still exist and going strong. Almost 10 years and will be going on for so long developing as what they call their graduates "Super Ladies". The new batch of students are interesting and I got to invest in the group more and more. Fujihira Kano (one of the avengers) is graduating this coming March. I'm excited for the new transfer-in this year!

@@alblgz Picture the sound of Russian hardbass and compare to that segment of the song. That's it. I found it quite similar, so I joked about the possibility of russian idol groups using hardbass as their maing musical genre instead of what we typically hear from Japan and Korea
