I grew up in San Diego with Brother Uthman Ibn Farooq. He is a good brother that does good work in comparative religion. In addition, my brother and I are both Huffadh and taught his children Quran so we know him and his family very well.. He has made some horrendous comments about Ulema and has claimed credit for bringing certain people to the Deen when those claims are false. In particular he has claimed to bring my friend Pro Skater Jordan Richter to the Deen even though he was practicing the Deen before the Brother. It is embarrassing to be honest.

Salafi fan boys are crying in the comments. But they not listening to why he is being refuted.

However, you could have condensed the video to 5 min and still get all your points across. This is just sad that we have ulamas attacking each other publicly and especially making videos to mock the personality of another sheikh rather then conversing with the person privately and directly. This is how discourse starts and is very very hurtful to the Ummah. Sheikh Uthman has the purest of intentions in bringing the Islam to daylight in a predominant Christian world. He has reverted with the help of ALLAH SWT 100s if not thousands yet souls back to Islam. He has been personally, physically, emotionally Attacked YET he is keeping to the straight path and doing dawa constantly with the help of ALLAH SWT. It is humble request to all Muslims to NOT attack or criticise each other in public on who is better in deen or who's not, this is just pure evil. Send the foundings to the origional party directly and have a understanding rather then misunderstanding. This is the last thing Muslim Ummah needs, a discourse between the ulamas. People have envy and jealousy of people being called as scholar although these people never claim themselves to be an scholar. Uthman ibn farooq isnt fluent in Arabic that doesn’t mean he doesn’t befit to guide people to Islam

He did make these arabic mistakes, and to be honest most of them are common among arabic speakers, but that doesn't justify his mistakes as a scholar, but even so, do you really think this is the proper way to respond to or criticize someone? Exposing his mistakes in front of everyone in such a mocking way? This is not an Islamic way of approaching this case, it contradicts the Islamic teachings. If you talk about these mistakes being silly and he shouldn't fall in them, then you should also know that having good manners is basic Islamic knowledge and no one should not know these teachings.

Deobandis do a lot of work of giving dawah to non-muslims especially in India. Tons of hindus have become muslim on their hands. Just because they don't put themselves on youtube that doesn't mean that they aren't ahead in the field of giving dawah to non-muslims too. Major thing to notice is.. Yes! any one can do mistakes. But if some individual Knows the grammatical nitty gritty of the Islamic Arabic or any other language. If he makes a mistake, He will immediately rush to correct it. Why? because his logical brain will not allow it in the light of grammatic rules. Here Shykh Uthman not only changing the words but also making the sentence grammatically wrong. Its very sad that Shykh Uthman criticize great muhaditheen and mufasireen of Islam like qurtabi, imam nawvi, al behaqi. ibn hajar asqalani and even don't know how to recite Quran properly.

I have actually lost respects for the people in this video, because of the condescending manner of speech and mockery against a person who has dedicated his life in the service of Islam. This public mockery I am confident is not justified in Islam. Should have pointed out his errors, given warning to people and invited him to correct himself, all in a beautiful and welcoming speech.

The Salafis of the last century used to say that we are right and all the former are wrong. Today's Salafis say that they were also wrong, we are right. And those who come forward will say that all the previous ones were wrong, we are right.😂

As-salaamu Alaykum brothers. Errors made by brother Usman, thats fine you have pointed them out. If he has made other mistakes, point them out with evidence. Insha'Allah may he seek forgiveness from Allah and correct them. However in this video you are mocking him, laughing at him, giving insincere help/lessons to teach him, bringing in his dress and ironing skills - statements like it's haram to pray behind him and other statements...all came across bitter and arrogant. I hope you can take a step back and see this. The point of the video appears to be "who are you to come here." which is what you say. What you say doesn't appear to be giving advice and solutions, which is what you can do to guide the brother. If he has disrespected scholars or done things wrong, point them out with evidence as you did with the Qur'an. I've not watched your content before, but this is sad to see. I have not seen Usman slam hanafis etc. It looks like if you feel attacked, then give it back, redicule them to stop them doing dawah? Where are the manners. Allah is guiding many to Islam through him and he is giving reverts support that mosques in the UK don't do. Just feel like this could have been a approached in a mature repesctful way.

His mistakes do not seem intentional, you have to remember he is not a native Arabic speaker nor a Quran hafiz so it’s easier for him to make mistakes, I’m sure he will accept the corrections insha Allah

This is one of the problem we have as Muslims, instead of helping one another fix their mistakes, instead of reaching out and discussing with the person they feel did something wrong, we make videos criticizing them making fun of them and even calling names. The smart thing to do is take this video down and reach out to Uthman and help him correct his mistakes.

We are in a time when trials and tribulations are being inflicted upon our Uma (shubbuyat), so much so that the layman Muslims don’t even recognize who’s upon the haqq anymore. as Muslims we should always assume the best of our brothers and sisters. We should assume that the mistakes were genuinely accidental. Also, what would he gain out of making these mistakes anyway? I don’t see anything that points to him being purposely deceiving. I also remember in one of the debates when asked a question he said that he wasn’t a scholar and doesn’t memorize the Quran. It was an old video so maybe that changed but either way, please, for the sake of Allah, we shouldn’t judge others.

Brother Uthman said he had trouble with academics when he was younger. He might be dyslexic, and should sincerely consider improving Qiraah if he wants people to take him seriously. The funniest thing is that he wears Arab clothes, and speaks certain English words with an Arabic accent without even learning to read Arabic. Doing things the Arab way doesn't mean doing things the Islamic way.

So what is your problems with Selefi If people wants to follow predecessor Abou Baker ,Omar and Othman the companion of the prophet Muhammadﷺ I think he claimed once he is from Jamaat Daâwa and Tableegh جماعة الدعوة والتبليغ and usually those Jamaat they don't concentrate on Quran mostly they concentrate the life of the Sahabah صحابة companion of the prophetﷺ

I have seen dawah work of Sheikh Uthman it is good work but when he started criticizing deobandis without know what their teaching is I really feel bad. He said we should solve our problem privately but when it comes to him he publicly criticize others. May Allah guide them.

Yikes, I’m shocked at these mistakes. And you’re saying that you’ve found up to 100 of them. But just from these few examples, I had NO idea that Uthman was THIS incompetent. Looks like I’m no longer going to be calling him “Shaykh” 😬 Some of the mistakes actually change the meaning of the verses drastically. Saying “إذا" instead of “أذ" changes the entire story of Lut (as) into a future tense prophecy. Like an event that hasn’t happened yet. 🤦🏽‍♂️
