Well researched story. By the time M7 went to the bush, his brother was not informed. And it is true, Gen. Katumba (then a Lieutnant) smuggled Saleh into the bush after aiding his escape from prison.

Salim Saleh is a true war Hero.

Rwigyema was a private soldier protecting M7 and he was told by a waitress at Nile Mansion at that time who had heard that M7 will be arrested and killed with his family at a roadblock in Kireka where he was taking his car to a garage. Bazilio was actually never contacted but it was a waitress woman who told Rwigyema and Rwigyema immediately left the hotel and called the residence of M7 at Kololo and asked them to bring Salim Saleh on phone who was his best friend and he told Saleh to mobilise some soldiers because they were going to kill his big brother. At Kireka, Saleh found Rwigyema and he gave them a plan and it was what rescued M7 and the family. Rubereza was never ever at Kireka rescue. It was Rwigyema who did the real job and Saleh was hiding behind Rwigyema. And it was Rwigyema who pulled out a pistol and told them that he will kill the officers. Story you're telling is very wrong filled with misinformation. Just like in the bush war, Saleh became a legend only because of Rwigyema...Saleh wasn't great as you want to portray him. He rode on Rwigyema's bravity...and not just Saleh even his big brother M7.
