Autumn salmon fishing on the River Mourne. There’s only 1 month left until the 2018 season closes so need to make the best of it. There’s still a few salmon in the system even if the water conditions are far from ideal. The water was coloured brown after a slight spate when this salmon and another one was caught at the black stone.

It’s always nice to see parts of the town and surrounding area I like the way you put the music to each video gives it that personal touch

Yes the music's an important part as it needs to match the mood of the video. There's loads of free music available you just need to credit the owner

The salmon fishing here Aidan is extremely regulated.There only used to be one old fishing family on the Tamar that had a licence to fish them.The river looks high,imagine you've had a fair bit of rain of late.

Andy, Its quite inexpensive to fish this river. A rod licence costs around £16.00 and a club permit (Strabane) about the same if your a resident. This provides about 3 miles of prime angling water. So we are pretty fortunate this side of the water (excuse the pun). Your right in respect to the water height. we had a slight rise in water levels, however it was coloured so it wasn't great for fly fishing. The lads in the video caught their salmon while bait fishing a worm and the other spinning a copper spoon. We had a really dry day Sunday and really good fly fishing conditions however we didn't see to many fish. That's how it goes. Trust all's well with you in Cornwall?
