Check out this spectacular walkaround of the third Salon Prive Show (2024) held at the Royal Hospital Chelsea - it's on 18-21 April. This includes coverage of the media walk-through of all the major exhibitors and a look at all the other cars on display, including some genuinely rare and exciting exotics like the Countach and Koenig Ferrari BB from 1980, as well as around 50 Porsche 911 celebrating the 60 years of the car.

I would really like to talk to the PR lady from Lotus about their heritage, their brand values, and what they stand for. And maybe I'll be able to find out how a 2.7 tonne electric SUV represents those values. The whirr from the motor will be drowned out by the whirr of Colin Chapman spinning in his grave.

Modern cars are all extremely clever with all their technology. Just seems the manufacturers have forgotten how to make them look good and a sensible size. I realise this show is all about the 'top end' of the market, but where can you use all this power and torque. With the proliferation of 20mph limits these things seem to be less relevant than ever.
