In case any of you are wondering, the number of lit candles before the boss tells you the percentage of players that killed the boss recently (with a maximum of 9 candles) and the hanging corpses are the bodies of players that recently died in the area.

But yes it's a bit buggy, if you don't understand what i'm saying, put the roll and jump actions into the same buton and press it PD: And if you didn't know the bug, you can fo it manually if you have practice. PD2: I love this bug!

@@franconunez925 1. This glitch is super easy and you need to stand still while you do it 2. a useful glitch that needs them on the same key is the ladder climb glitch, very hard to do manually

@@DrummerGhisi is mostly the most easy way to do it, and you can even do it by hand if you just press the buttons at the same time without moving, and i can swear that one time i enter to a blank area(glitchless and it was more like the map wasn't showing but you can walk and that) using one of the gravity pillars and double jump in the cave of smiles(and having a lot of hp, i remember there was a fall is supposed to not survive, but i endup exploring the place until i run out of healings and died by fall).

It is advertised as 2D dark souls because the creators are huge Dark Souls fans so the game is a tribute to the franchise. I think it is listed as a metroidvania on steam though

It helps to play with low equip load, in Salt and Sanctuary not just your roll gets worse, but you also get slower and have a slightly shorter jump with every level of encumbrance.

gonna be honest, i didnt have that much fun with this game. i really disliked the way they did the upgrade and equipment system. i just felt... i dunno, boring. and the least i speak about the magic system, the better. unfortunately, not for me.

This is actually an amazing game, and I got extremely addicted to it. The controls aren't bad, and it's common sense in 2D platformers to not jump where you can't see the bottom.

Matteo Monellini when I did my first mage run I used wands then I realized that wands kinda suck. They do offer more versatility. With weaponry and less with spells. It's not that bad when you pair a wand with branding Iron so it's pretty fun.

I've been waiting for this! Personally, I didn't think that the platforming was that bad, there were a few parts that were annoying, but for the most part I thought it was fine.

I actually didn't think that was too bad either. In fact, it wasn't kind of helpful because if one player gets far enough away from the other, they can jus open up their menu and teleport right to the other player without taking any fall damage. It was really nice being able to save yourself from what would otherwise be a bunch of instant death experiences.

The thing that made the experience so easy, is that weapon you got. I suffered so much because I had a spear for the whole game. This game is one of my favourite of all time.

I used a dagger for most of the game and tree of men was a fucking nightmare. I had to switch to a shitty pitchfork to even have a chance against it.

Haha, yeah Tree of Men can be a huge nightmare if you've got a short range weapon. Used a dagger myself until I could create the first swordwhip, extra hilarity when you beat the Kraekenwyrm and talk to the thief. "A dagger against a dragon?" or somesuch. love the playstyle but I like weird weapons like swordwhips so I just had to use one :)

I have never seen anyone suck at the platforming that much... seriously why roll off of so many playforms? Also you could parry the knights to kill them faster and you went through all that effort to join the betrayers creed yet you didn't even rank up your devotion once?? I do agree that the game could use more boss music but for a game made by pretty much two people, it came out pretty good

Feels like he rushed to game to me, it is a pretty short game but even so I had over 200 hours on it. This is a great game for a 2 person studio, personally myself I’ve never had any problems with the controls.
