The Salton VitaPro Food Dehydrator. A very economical way to get started in the world of food dehydrating.
In this video, I will go over some of it's features, what it comes with and some new accessories items I just got to go with it, more trays, fruit roll-up/ sauce trays etc.
I have had this one for about 7 years and it has worked fantastic for me.

I absolutely love mine, although I still reaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaally want an excalibur!

Eventually I will pick up a real nice Excalibur. But I'll keep the Salton VitaPro as a second/ spare.

Same!! How do you make wraps and pizza in these though? It’s why I want the excalibur at this point.

I've had one like it for a few years. Good unit however the trays are very easily broken!!

I think I had mine for 7 years. Broke one tray a couple years ago. Just added two extra trays just now. At some point soon, I'll likely go get a high end one too though, an Excalibur.

I love mine.. but I don’t know how you clicked something to make it higher😳.. My daughter will check it out.. I whip egg whites for powder in keto baking and I gave to flatten it to make them fit!

Have you ever figured out how much this adds to your power bill? I recently got one and my power bill the next month went up $30 (Alberta) although one of my friends said she's heard from a couple people that their power bill has gone up... if it's from the dehydrator, it would definitely not justify dehydrating if it goes up that much for a few times use!

I've never noticed a spike in my power bills. I started doing this 18 years ago when living in BC. Now in Ontario the last bunch of years and the hydro bill is not even noticeable for me. Pennies per batch.

@@denisedeleau1131 Been asking myself that too :) For Ontario though, the Northwestern region is quite nice. Rugged terrain and, of course, Lake Superior.
