Great update. I don’t understand why people shy away from Kalk. It works great and is probably the least expensive way to supplement your tank. I use a kalk stirrer as well then dose ESV for the difference. I’m not a fan of Kalk in an ato because it’s too hard to keep consistent. Keep up your great videos!

Frag tank looks great Deven. You have that sump seriously packed. 😁 the adaptive reef control board looks nice. 👍 have you tried the Razor by Brightwell? It worked well for me even though it took two applications.

If you're still fighting dino, I would try Dino X. I just finished a 2 week treatment of it and honestly its astounding. Not a speck of any kind of algae left, and all corals/livestock are fine! Very minimal work, just make sure not to overdose.

@@ReefDudes very full frag tank, no negative effects at all. I think the secret is very carefully calculating your water volume to get the right dose. My zoa plugs looked exactly like yours and within 24 hours of the first dose they were clear. I also reduced photoperiod from 11 to 8 hours, and followed recommendations to skim wet, remove reactors, and removed my cheato. 2 weeks of dosing to the directions and the tank was spotless, that was a week ago, everything's back to normal now and no dino and everything is healthy. My only notice was my SPS clearly weren't growing because they weren't using much ALK, but they had extended polyps and now that I'm feeding and lights are back to normal they're growing again. Good luck!

Have you had any issues with the Hydros control yet and if you have how is the customer service I'm thinking about getting this for my new 90 gallon aquarium but I was told by my local fish store not to get it to get the Apex Neptune but I really like how this controller lights up

Don't you get precipitation with that slow of a dip of kalk? I used BRS 1.1ml/min doser for kalk before, it got lots of build up in couple months. Now i'm using a faster pump and dosing once every couple hours instead.

is fluconazole same as reef flux and do you think that's wahe brought back the Dinos reason am king is because I just went through a massive Dino outbreak and I don't want them back but I just want to get that brown algae Matt out of the rocks

I had. Prior and it was going away. I bet I just never fully eradicated it The main ingredient of reef flux is fluconazole so likely all the same stuff

Hey Deven, just finished my frag tank. And of course its attack if the dinos. How much 3% hydrogen peroxide are you dosing for your gallons. I have two 80 gal frag tanks and 80 gal tank as a sump. So rough guess for my system is 200 gal.

1ml/10g is the generally accepted safe dose.. do half in the morning and half at night :)
