To get the big bream, find some little crabs that hide under rocks on the shoreline of the swan and use them whole on a single hook unweighted. Big bream can't resist them and blowies take abit longer to destroy them.

@@SaltyFishosStaySaltyi used to hit the bream hard. Quickly learnt that the yatch clubs and up the river/canning snags are good. But yeah, heaps of 40cm bream on crabs around the yatch clubs in winter. And the odd near on 50cm 🤘I pretty much only launch off point peron now in boats and target everything from squid, crabs, crays, dues etc. Haven't bream fished in years . Should try it again.

Always fish dawn or dusk or 1hr before and after a tide change. Sometimes barometer a factor too and sometimes you have to move around to find them.. So many different scenarios.

Hey mate yes eat the crabs and fish never had a problem when there's an designated algae bloom I don't eat fish around that area. But I've been eating out the river for the last 35years😁🤙🎣🐟♥️🎥

@@SaltyFishosStaySalty Its in the fisheries regulations, its a massive bream spawning area and people were cleaning out the huge breeding females, I saw dudes pulling in fish almost the size of pink snapper one morning. Then the rangers came down and chased one off, one in camo hid in the bushes and started fishing again when they left.

@@damodoesall6240I know you can't fish that little inlet at Herrison island. Ranger gave me the thumbs up fishing at the causeway so IDK plus at the causeway theres those little yellow bins for your tackle to put in to.

The Causeway during the day aint the best. Usually just Blowies and Trumpeter. Used to fish there at night many many moons ago chasing Mulloway but no luck. Never tried that East Perth canal part myself
