Den Tango "Adios Nonino" schrieb Astor Piazzolla im Oktober 1959 in New York, nur wenige Tage nach dem Tod seines Vaters Vicente "Nonino" Piazzolla. Dieser Tango ist fester Bestandteil im Repertoire von Salut Salon.
This tango "Adios Nonino" composer Astor Piazzolla wrote in 1959 in New York, only a few days after his father Vicente "Nonino" had died. This tango is an essential part of the Salut Salon repertoire.

Astor Piazzolla was despised by other musicians, and just after his death, he gained the recognition he deserved. Adios Nonino and Libertango have been played in so many different ways, he'd be very happy.

Astor Piazzolla siempre dijo que su música no era Tango, que lo que él componía era "Música de Buenos Aires", de escuchar esta versión, hoy se sentiría orgulloso de vuestra interpretación. Felicidades, un fuerte abrazo desde Argentina. Guillermo.
