Our salvage big turbo MK7 Golf R is getting redemption. The plans, built engine, 600+whp and racing it in as many ways as we can. Although we have lots of big turbo MK7R stuff coming, this one is fun because we don't need to care about it.

Look forward to the new EA888. I recently saw that VW had really reworked the block. Visually it looks similar to the old one but there has been hand work everywhere. The pistons even have extra bores. So that they are then cooled internally by the oil. The turbocharger is from Continental and makes a real statement in terms of size. Ideal basic material for tuning. Greets from Germany

I've always found it better to do oil changes with the engine not running. And through the drain plug. BTW, I'd love to see a compound turbo setup on one of these. I know space is very limiting, but that would be an outstanding feat

I would like to see you get one of the new cylinder heads that go back to the Tsi/fsi exhaust manifold so you can do a custom exhaust manifold to a vband then you can change the turbo as you go up with power!!

Use switchpath as your software. As for price for all of that, 8k USD would be a crazy steal for that stuff. Use a pagparts kit.

I'd go with something other than a 3076 since this is a manual car. While Eurodyne's NLS certainly will help keep boost up I'd maybe look at something smaller than the CTS750 you had. Are you going to do any porting on the head? There is definitely some efficiency to be gained with opening up at least the exhaust side, just be careful to not go too far.

Mambatek gtx3076r seen good power from them and cant beat the price, maybe give them a call would love giving them a chance, its always eqt,turbopartscanada, cts kits do something different just my two cents good luck with the build guys🙏 also pulsar turbos.

I’d say do like the mambatek gtx3076r, it would be a great cheaper alternative since everyone does tpc & EQT. Those are already proven but there not too much on the mambatek ones. Id like to see how well those thold up to the abuse!

Also Ive seen eqt turbos blow and destroy engines but i havent seen nor heard of a mambatek one specifically for the mk7 blow🤷🏻‍♂️. Also why be rude about it, It was a suggestion? 🥱

@@COMotorsportswe had talked before though about the bigger turbo not building boost until later in the rpm range. So it would be cool to test and see how a smaller turbo could work to build boost for that bigger turbo. Sequential, compound, whatever lol.

My mk7 engine transmission rear end is 12500, I know that I've heard some good things and bad things but what about a variable vein turbo? Supposedly Garrett has a couple that are available that are good up to about 500 horsepower maybe you can dual compound?
