Fun fact:. Courtney Love was one of the lead singers for Faith No More. It was a very early version of the band and was back around 1983. Apparently it was short lived and long before Mike Patton joined the band.

Goddamn, Patty's drumming on this song is soooo good. This version still sounds so fresh even today. I think it's from Ric Ocasek's almost new-wavey production. And Melissa's bassline is so groovy in this. Everytime I get a chance to play a bass, I always play this bassline lol.

Fun fact: Stevie Nicks had envisioned a harder version of her song as far back as late 1977 when she offered it to The Runaways (Joan Jett and Lita Ford's first band). Lita says they took a voted and decided against it, preferring to stick to their own material.

I was a teenager in the 90’s and being very into grunge music and also discovering 70’s rock through my parents albums. I was introduced to Gold Dust Woman by Hole and it remains my favorite Fleetwood Mac song and I still absolutely love this cover!

Its a little pop-ey for grunge, but the vocal style, and guitar with the feedback is totally grunge. An accessible grungey cover of a dark pop hit. Fleetwood Mac's original is less mad and more just resentful for the emotional damage, more like a big sister giving her heartbroken little brother some advice about women. This version is more blaming the boy for screwing with the wrong wildcat.

Hole is often included in lists of grunge and “sorta grunge-like” bands from that early 90’s period…… rightly or wrongly…kind of like Smashing Pumpkins and Stone Temple Pilots are. Since Courtney was married to Cobain, I think the style certainly rubbed off on her and her band. She was in that scene. I just know that the people that watch Top Ten Revealed on AXSTV voted Hole as being one of the top ten grunge bands. That’s all I know.

Courtney Love has been accused of killing her ex-husband, Kurt Cobain, even though the coroner's report lists his death as suicide. Many people still believe she had something to do with it. Not sure what the truth is. She was also accused of attempting to have her ex-son-in-law kidnapped and possibly murdered to recover a famous guitar that Kurt used. But I gave you a view (that was muted cuz I really don't like her voice) and this comment 😬

Oh great, every single time there's a hole or courtney reaction, the sycophantic nirvana fans pop out of the woodwork and start the murder accusations. And as for her ex son in law... that dude was so obsessed with kurt cobain that he married his daughter. Courtney sniffed him out quick, and he didn't like that, so he tried to make ridiculous accusations about her plotting. You guys act like she is some mastermind mass murderer that somehow fooled the police and FBI. It's so weird and misogynist.
