A gifted movie star Sam Claflin drew his first breath in 1986. It would be interesting to know that he dreamed of pursuing a professional career as a football player and strived really hard to achieve that goal. However, when he got a serious ankle injury, he had no choice but to leave the sports industry.
The love for acting arose in a future star’s heart when his teacher asked him to participate in a play. After that he entered the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art.
In 2010 he successfully debuted on TV in The Pillars of the Earth and Any Human Heart. However, the main breakthrough happened when he appeared in Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides. After that he proceeded with great roles in Me Before You, Snow White and the Huntsman, Love, Rosie and many others.

The father’s name is Mark and he is an accountant by profession. He has been living with the Type 1 diabetes for many years which affected some of his organs. Because of this, in 2010 he underwent pancreas and kidney transplant.
The mother Sue works as a classroom assistant and lives with her spouse in Norwich, England. She married Mark in 1982 and together with him gave birth to four children. She is very close with all of them.
The film star has three siblings. The first one is an older brother Benjamin, who lives a low-key life. Despite this, he does have social media accounts but never shares personal information there. All you can see there is his pictures with brothers.
The second sibling is a brother Daniel. He is a web developer and a director of an IT company called Tridan. In addition to that, he is exceptionally good at running, biking and swimming.
The third and the youngest brother is named Joseph and he was born in 1989. Like Sam, he is also a film performer, who can be seen in EastEnders, Da Vinci’s Demons and other television projects.
Coming closer to Claflin’s personal life, he had been happily married to a beautiful actress Laura Haddock since 2013 and up till 2019. These two lovebirds got to know one another in 2011 during an audition for My Week with Marilyn. The next day they bumped into each other at London’s underground and discovered that they have the same agent. After two years of dating, they tied the knot but unfortunately separated after six years of being a real deal. Despite the divorce, they keep co-parenting their two wonderful children.
The pair’s firstborn is a soon Pip, who was delivered in 2015. During one of the interviews, Sam shared that fatherhood changed him a lot and made him a better, more sensitive and open person.
In 2018 a baby-girl Margot was welcomed into the family. Both parents love their kids to the moon and back and perhaps, that’s why they do their best to keep them away from the spotlight.
