Really? I grew up in B'ham in the 90s and there were really no Hispanics. I went back in 2012 and neighborhoods that were mostly white like Chalkville and Center Point were like 70% Mexican. Sad to hear the Muslims are moving in.

Nick is 1000000% right when talking about government and construction if you want a view on how things have gotten insanely out of control pop your head into a construction site on government land. The biggest thing people need understand about politicians that separates them from people in the private sector is that if you run a business you need be able to produce results. In government you just need people to believe you know what you’re doing. For most politicians the facade is the only real skill they have.

The reason they print money is because they take out big loans and when they print money it lowers the value of the cash which then makes them owe less overall value because the number on the loan stays the same.

On top of those points about the money spent, there's also the deliberate wasteful spending.
