In this episode of Critical Moments, Sam's joke leaves Matt in tears. After an emotional scene with FCG Sam Riegel decides to make a hilarious joke that absolutely crushes the cast in Critical Role C3 E32. Critical Role is a dungeons and dragons game featuring famous voice actors Sam Riegel, Matt Mercer, and many others!

Well Matt did say she's the "agent of chaos" for this campaign. It seems appropriate that she'd serve it up so Sam could spike it onto poor Matt's head.

She totally deserves credit for figuring it out. I maintain this is one one of Sam's planned long term jokes like the Veth-Bren-Otto one from last campaign and Vex's witch flight in C1.

I feel like it was too late the moment Pussy became canon (it didn't really, but Matt is the kind of DM who very rarely explicitly says no to a player, which leads to moments like this)

Sam always plays the Long Game. Campaign 1 was helping Vex go full on Wicked. Campaign 2 was the gradual reveal of Knott's real name. Veth. Bren. Otto. And Campaign 3 was this moment for all of the Pussy jokes.

it's not really the joke but the built up, if they send their backstories and from the start the story had those elements he just set it up and whenever his backstory was tackled those elements would be there to sprout the joke in anyone's mind "Sam! What is wrong with you !?" is just Matt realizing how he got played he included everything there and seeing it all fall in place drives him to the realization of how forward thinking this was

When you think about it, it makes you wonder. Matt created the back story for Sams character. Sam simply gave him a blank sheet of paper. Which means Matt created the destructive one eyed monster for him. Does that mean matt is obsessed by sams one eyed monster ;). Also I think another one of the bots that sam destroyed was warm apple pie :)

Sam didn't hand Matt a blank piece of paper, Sam handed over a backstory that was likely written from the character's point of view and Matt was free to mess with outside of things that were known in character.

@@madDjakni I'm not clicking on it, it ends up in my feed. I only click on it to comment this, I even pause as early as possible to not give the video watch time. Thankfully THIS video didn't have a huge spoiler in the title, but others have, like when they spoiled dusk hitting on orym. It's just not cool, and the creator of this channel could be thoughtful of the people who can't watch live.

I get not wanting spoilers but like I said they usually put episode number into the title (most often in the back so you can read that and not the rest of the title) if you don't want spoilers dont click on some thing that has an episode number you havent watched yet.
