Technically Jon is competent but for this song I don’t like his choice of voicing as when he plays louder the sound is different. It dominates and is unsympathetic to the vocal.

It was more parcel service (something like lalamove). He tried for one day during the early days of the pandemic quarantine. They were struggling like everyone else, but I'm glad they they focused on music. It helped me during those days.

Whoever wrote and sang first is usually the best for me. Any great artist needs to write and produce their own music. Gigi is friggin amazing. But covering is not everything.
