‘Writing’s On The Wall’ by Sam Smith, the official theme song from Spectre, performed live on the Graham Norton show.
Lyrics:
I’ve been here before
But always hit the floor
I’ve spent a lifetime running
And I always get away
But with you I’m feeling something
That makes me want to stay
Unprepared for this
I never shoot to miss
But I feel like a storm is coming
If I’m going to make it through the day
Then there’s no more use in running
This is something I’ve got to face
If I risk it all
Could you break my fall?
How do I live?
How do I breathe?
When you’re not here I’m suffocating
I want to feel love
Run through my blood
Tell me is this where I give it all up?
For you I have to risk it all
Cos the writing’s on the wall
A million shards of glass
That haunt me from my past
As the stars begin to gather
And the light begins to fade
When all hope begins to shatter
Know that I won’t be afraid
If I risk it all
Could you break my fall?
How do I live?
How do I breathe?
When you’re not here I’m suffocating
I want to feel love
Run through my blood
Tell me is this where I give it all up?
For you I have to risk it all
Cos the writing’s on the wall
The writing’s on the wall
How do I live?
How do I breathe?
When you’re not here I’m suffocating
I want to feel love
Run through my blood
Tell me is this where I give it all up?
How do I live?
How do I breathe?
When you’re not here I’m suffocating
I want to feel love
Run through my blood
Tell me is this where I give it all up?
For you I have to risk it all
Cos the writing’s on the wall

@Nina Well, I once had a lengthy discussion with someone who said that you can't actually hear auto-tune when it's used right, they even produced an article where some professionals claimed the same thing. If that's true, nearly all modern music producers must use it wrong.

If you love this song from the movie of Spectre, then I highly recommend checking out the last Daniel Craig James Bond movie, which is, No Time To Die, and the song of that movie, is also called, No Time To Die. If you check out both the song and Daniel Craig’s last James Bond movie, again, as I have already said, and I dare to say this again, I highly recommend both the song and his last James Bond movie.

If the idea of “James Bond” could be summed up in one song, one melody to capture all the drama, all the suspense, all the romance, all the broken hearts and life on the edge, it would be this masterpiece written by Sam Smith. Using an orchestra is perfection, with all the crescendos and decrescendos that reflect the emotional roller coaster James Bond characters experience as well as the audience watching on the edge of their seats. Sam’s voice can only be described as a gift from the gods. This song covers me with goosebumps in the first 5 seconds. Beyond amazing. And kudos to Graham Norton for having a stage that can allow this masterpiece to shine as it should. His sound department is top-notch and the way the stage is setup and captured by the cameras is like you’re in a beautiful dream. Wow, wow, wow!!

People need to not overrate Adele I mean, they really compare Skyfall and Writing's On The Wall, and since Adele is very successful, they drag Sam Smith and this song, and say that they dislike this song, it's such a degrading from Skyfall, etc. Come on, Writing's On The Wall has very amazing production too, also I like Writing's On The Wall's melody too It's more haunting, thrilling, and dramatic than Skyfall

The song....*LIVE*...the lyrics...the emotion...the orchestra...his eyes...his voice...certain songs just give you chills. This one has it all..."About 50 percent of people get chills when listening to music. Research shows that's because music stimulates an ancient reward pathway in the brain, encouraging dopamine to flood the striatum-a part of the forebrain activated by addiction, reward, and motivation. And that's where the chills may come in."

Without a doubt the best James Bond song ever. It's got such beautiful, delicate moments - highs and lows - its wonderful! Add the orchestra and his voice and wow. Its an arousing, emotional song and has elements to it that none of the other James Bond themes have - and that's real beauty.

I've been here before But always hit the floor I've spent a lifetime running And I always get away But with you I'm feeling something That makes me want to stay I'm prepared for this I never shoot to miss But I feel like a storm is coming If I'm gonna make it through the day Then there's no more use in running This is something I gotta face If I risk it all Could you break my fall? How do I live? How do I breathe? When you're not here I'm suffocating I want to feel love, run through my blood Tell me is this where I give it all up? For you I have to risk it all Cause the writing's on the wall A million shards of glass That haunt me from my past As the stars begin to gather And the light begins to fade When all hope begins to shatter Know that I won't be afraid If I risk it all Could you break my fall? How do I live? How do I breathe? When you're not here I'm suffocating I want to feel love, run through my blood Tell me is this where I give it all up? For you I have to risk it all Cause the writing's on the wall The writing's on the wall How do I live? How do I breathe? When you're not here I'm suffocating I want to feel love, run through my blood Tell me is this where I give it all up? How do I live? How do I breathe? I absolutely love how he doesn't have those overexaggerated gestures most other modern signers have. He just rocks back and forth with the rhythm and makes adequate hand gestures. I'm not really a fan of most of his music, but this one's great. His voice is truly breathtaking (on par with the likes of Céline Dion I'd say), and he's also classy AF. Congrats man.

Main reason why i love sam smith is not because of his good looks lol, is because he sounds the same in studio and live. Thats always been one of my favorite things about him.
