@@MattWalkerLothI think he’s saying because it goes through your body quicker it’s easier to eat more and lose track because of not being full so you actually think you aren’t eating a lot but because it’s so calorie dense it’s easy to over eat.
@BlahBlahPoop617
@BlahBlahPoop617 4 ай бұрын
@@MattWalkerLoth That’s only partly true. STRICTLY speaking, you will lose weight if you’re in a calorie deficit on even junk food. However, because junk food is not high volume, often low fiber, and is calorically dense, you won’t feel full or satiated eating it to lose weight per unit of calorie compared to less calorically dense foods, which means it will make your diet much harder to stick to, which increases likelihood of you binge eating because you’re not satisfied. So a calorie deficit of junk food DOES work,….only for as long as you maintain that deficit. Problem is, most ppl cannot maintain a calorie deficit of junk food very long because they’ll be hungry and thus more tempted to overeat to feel full or satiated. Whereas a caloric deficit on a diet of Whole Foods will make you feel more full and satisfied and thus less likely to binge and break the diet.

@@samuelmongrain607 I bet you do not even know what the first law of thermodynamics is. It applies to a 'Closed System' also referred to as a 'Isolated System' your body is not a closed system. So there is your theory completely destroyed as the First Law of thermodynamics can never be applied to a living organism controlled by hormones. Your body adjusts. Your metabolism adjusts and burns more or less energy depending on how much energy it receives and what type of food you eat. Your body does not utilise calories of fat the same it utilises the same calories of sugar or protein. If the theory of energy in vs energy out actually worked it would be easy for people to reduce body fat. Unfortunately there is insulin, testosterone, oestrogen and various other hormones that control your metabolism and directly control fat loss, muscle gain depending on what combination of food you eat and what you are doing at the time.

You guys are missing the point to this video. He isn't recommending you eat only donuts or unhealthy food, he's simply explaining that if you did eat junk food, but maintained a calorie deficit, you'll lose weight. Yes it's good to have a well balanced diet for your body and if you only ate donuts in a calorie deficit you'll probably feel like garbage, but he's talking strictly about losing weight, not whether it's a good idea to do. If you ate only junk food in a calorie deficit you'll most likely not be satiated and feel like you're starving vs being able to eat more food of healither options for the same amount of calories.

Also what about the concept of transfats? Protein not only will fill you up quicker and make you consume less total calories..but it also will speed up your metabolism and probably make you consume more energy in basal state. Good luck eating only 2000 cal with crap, you will eat a few donuts, candies and a cola and be with hunger the rest of the day while having consumed like 10 grams of protein in total, while eating soo much of the wrong fats..and feeling bad for sleep quality, recovery and building mass (what mass without consuming enough proteins? )

Your body will burn them or store them so if you burn all of them and there is nothing to store no weight gain, a deficit will burn stores losing weight. And a surplus will store weight. Metabolic conditions will impact this, but it comes down to generally speaking. And there are several studies done that prove that strictly for weight control, there is no difference in source. The thing is the chicken, rice, vegetables etc are packed w/ protein, vitamins, minerals, micro nutrients. All the stuff your body needs to function properly, especially when you're exercising/trying to lose weight. Your body is going to get full easier w/ these easier than w/ the Skittles, cinnamin toast crunch, donuts etc. They dont call them "empty calories" for no reason. You'll also feel better eating mainly non "junk food". That doesn't mean there's not a place for it, i mean hell i eat cinnamin toast crunch & eggs almost every nite(although eggs shouldn't have been grouped w/ the skittles&cereal because you CAN ACTUALLY practically live on eggs), but no person can live on the other things you mentioned & they especially wont lose weight because your going to end up eating more tgan the 2000 calories to feel normal(unless your alternating alot of real eggs in between those cadberry eggs 😂). Not to mention, junk food also has higher calories on average. More food/less calories is leaps&bounds better than less food/less calories or even worse yet less food/more calories. I'm sure it's not really a problem for Sam, tho since he probably needs to intake 6-8k calories daily, so in that respect, junk food prolly helps him hit his goal easier. --->higher calorie junk food + the spike in insulin leading to more intake of healthy calories as well. But for us "normies" it's not that simple, Sam.

Calories are a unit of measuring energy. The rule of thumb is 1 gram protein to 1 pound body weight with equal calories to protiens for simple fats. This is a round diet. When bulking. Target weight to grams protein, same carbs up to 2200 total calorie count. From there you just focus on protiens and simple fats. 300 lbs weight= 300 grams protein 300×4= 1200 calories protein Carbs = 1200 calories and is 300 grams carbs. S. Fats= 1200 calories/9= 133 grams simple fats. When cutting use 166 grams carbs or less amd maintain calorie count by substituting proteins and simple fats. So 134 calories would be divided in half. Protiens are 4 calories, carbs the same. Fats are 9 calories. Keep lifting
