Elizaheths's hand motions and her other methods to perform magic were/are absolutely beautiful. They are so natural. A couple of favorites are the arm and hand motions in HOW GREEN WAS MY GRASS. Watch Elizabeth's hand as she incants while trying to bring the artificial turf back. Another is in ADAM, WARLOCK OR WASHOUT. Here Sam is assisting in the testing of her son. I love how Elizabeth uses her wrist and hand motion to levitate the shell. But my all time favorite is the incantation that Sam uses and the hand motions to bring Santa's elves to their home, ending with a burst of energy for each elf as they appear. This is another example of how witches/warlocks can manipulate matter and teleportation. Love it. Samantha IS Elizabeth.

As for the magic, I think that the producers tried to strike a balance between Sam the witch and Sam the person. Special effects can be overdone. I know people love the magic, but it's Samantha/Elizabeth that is the heart of BEWITCHED. I think they got the balance right.

She really got in trouble with Darrin over that mink coat, but she was only doing it to protect his honor. She had some great moments. Some that come to mind are when she made Fergus the Frog's girlfriend (Phoebe), human. Also when in a dream, she told Larry that she was a witch. I loved this show.😊
