Nice job on the asset list. I am with you on the three lane pedestrian/bike path. Residents definitely prefer it over everything else. I downloaded that asset after watching your ‘pedestrian highway’ video, and people abandoned my subway and buses. Lol Great video.

2x2 /1x2 fire / police stations and the 3000 student elementary school are pretty good ones. also like the 12 lane roads, two way with middle turn lane, church with grave yard, super small alleyway roads, narrow 4 lane roads stuff like that is handy. 3x1 recycling center is good.

There should be these T-shaped wooden power lines, like the big ones with cables, but smaller. They would be beautiful!

HxO water treatment set is truly revolutionary. Not only because the assets are cool and look much nicer than vanillar pumps and treatment plants, but also that there is no more need to pour the waste water into the river - there could be cases where the need for sewerage is so great, you build so many water treatment plants that you pour too much waste water into the river and it causes floods!

Not an asset but I really like the electric roads mod. It makes it so that you don't have to use power lines of any sort other than for aesthetics

The pedestrian and bicycle pavement is the most used asset in my game play. I also, love the flora assets from the author "pdelmo" who produces Australian plant life; always used in my games. However, now I have found the author "Robert" and all his City of Sydney assets, including trains... Hey, Sam, I am a beginner in making my own assets. Have you thought about some tutorials in demonstrating how you can make your own road, parking lot, park, residential building, etc. is asset building? I love supporting the creative authors on the workshop, but, sometimes I just want to be creative and I need the knowledge.

Great video! Definitely getting some of those assets. Sadly the awesome parking roads require Fine Road Anarchy, which is a mod.

Hey Sam. In your videos, we often see roads connected to avenues without it creating an intersection (median stays, no crosswalks). Which mod does that? Thx.

My computer is not great so I don't use a lot of assets but I so use a couple like japanese sea defence and japanese retaining wall ( I love using retaining wall and quays). Network Extension 2 is also a nice mod with lots of roads that are very useful too. But for the most part, the asset I have are interchanges because while they are fun to make, they can be very time consuming. I like a lot those made by Agusingnavy, I think they look awesome and realistic but they are sometimes hard to fit in and you often need to built your city to fit the interchange instead of the other way around. So I also use timboh's collection of interchange. I think they are, sometimes, a bit too regular in shape so they don't feel as realistic but they are easy to use and modify so I often use them as starting point and tweak them to make them look how I want .

My favourite asset is " crematorium and funeral parlor" it helps me alot with the deathwaves

I've just started playing and I'm in a testing process on how things work, what mods, assets, etc... to download ($$?). Is it possible to create a "Default" page with all the toolbar features (fire, police, garbage, etc...), assets and mods (I've picked) active?

Its a 1950's London police telephone box. this model of police box is also used in the popular TV series Doctor Who as The Doctors TARDIS (Time And Relative Dimensions In Space)

If you want to put a bunch of trees or any kind of decoration down you can use the move it mod to copy an area and paste it whenever you want

For power lines I prefer the underground ones. Same concept as yours but totally underground

I try to put it together and I couldn't!!!! :( even following the instructions but you are pretty much an expert on detailing lol! so pls!!! I would love to see a video of that and I am sure I am not the only one!

In contrary of you, I search a way or a mod to encourage the sims to use the public transport. I think it would be more realistic if the sims are just walking to the next station... pathway speed is probably set faster than the vanilla ones. thats way they prefer it i would think.

I'm big on making green cities, so I REALLY like one road mod that's 4 lanes plus bike lanes on either side and a dedicated tram line. I slap that baby down all over my city.

Hey Sam! Why arent you using custom street lights (not intersection street lights but one these aside the road that light up the road) you can check out some custom lights, it adds realism and more detail.

Trees do not grow anywhere in Nunavut as it is too cold and there is permafrost.

Cities skylines should add left and right traffic lights 🚦 that would be awesome. And 2-one way lanes that you can zone on (not those highway ones)!! I could definitely execute traffic that way! And I don’t wanna hear that u can do this with a mod 😑 sorry I’m from the states.

>parking lots make cities look alive yea, a desert asphalt is more vibrant than a town square full of merchants, people walking around and generally life happening. Cars are awful for urban cities and should be banned outside of city limits so more useful modes of transportation can exist and service vehicles and contractors can actually do their job properly instead of being stuck behind 40 stupid cages who decided they couldn't walk one mile so they had to drive it instead. Sorry for the rant, and I know this is clearly a simulation, but cars suck and will always suck as a mode of transportation when it comes to urban cores.
