Super impressive you can get the bite and tooth position so well without a wax rim.

Awesome workflow doc. I was wondering what the jig you used to get the bite and fox plane is called (00:46 mark). Thank you for sharing this!

Hello Wally, Your methods in scanning and printing dentures look nice. Are you a general clinician or specialized one?

How do these hold up over time?

I went to Affordable Dentures in GA. Paid almost 10,000 for digital Dentures Dentures. In Aug 2023. I was told after full mouth extractions I got immediate Dentures they called them.. I have to go for linings etc. Still can't keep lower plate in. Dentist left roots in extractions that teeth had broke off. I was told the digital Dentures would take a year!!!!!!! In the meantime I struggle in lower plate concerns about roots infections? Will not stay in. Did I get ripped off or what. I thought a year long time. I had to pay upfront. Feedback please

Is the post dam eliminated with a printed denture? I was listening to The Very Dental Podcast and they were making a case that it was not needed. Curious how you feel. Either way excited to get my feet wet once the 55s ships out. Thanks for leading the way.

I add them and feel they are still needed especially with a final impression that is scanned in mouth because no tissue compression
@nathaniel20627 ай бұрын
@@wallyrenne Do you add them in CAD or with composite?

In terms of the main hardware and software, what all did you use in this process? I have a Primescan. Wondering what other toys I need to buy to do this (apart from attending your amazing course). Can you please let me know?

Great video. But there are some things vague in my mind. What about muscle trimming? wont the denture intefere with soft tissue function? How about keeping forces on pressure bearing areas as we do in selective pressure impression technique? I would be delighted to know your opinions
@wallyrenne4 ай бұрын
Good question. I would never believed it either but the concept of border molding is really designed to capture muscle limits when you have a physical material pushing muscle out of the way. But when we’re capturing with light, we could get the tissues in a relaxed state, and we could actually see the muscle fibers and where they attach based in color of the scan and pleats of the muscle fibers . Regarding selective pressure technique. I prefer a true mucostatic impression and then I can go back and add Pressure where and when I need to on the digital model in this way, I can actually know exactly how much tissue I am compressing from its relaxed state because I get a micron heat map telling me exactly how much pressure I’m putting on the tissue. It is when you do it with physical impression material you’re guessing.

@@wallyrenneI got a question for you, sir. Do you possibly know if anybody in Indiana provide same service as you showing in this video? If not or you don’t know-how realistic is this-if I can travel to your location and hopefully become one of your patients?

nice work, but still curious to know how digital dentures made with the direct oral scan satisfy or record the border and eliminate the boder molding and functional movements...
@wallyrenne11 ай бұрын
Yeah, I was right along with you. I probably myself on board or molded impressions using green stick compound . I’m a traditional dentures in five appointments . I’ve never had fits so good as I do now with direct, intraoral scans. A true mucostatic impression. Regarding the muscles, you could actually see color changes from attached and unattached tissues you can actually also see muscle attachment areas. That’s the beauty of a full color skin in ultra high definition.

About to order som anaxgum. I see the light pink is in flow, but red says paint. Would those be correct? What's the difference?
@wallyrenne10 ай бұрын
Yes light pink flow. Red paint. Red is lower viscosity
