Against All Odds sums up that historic win , Samoa not only played against England but the referees, side line refs , video ref , the commentators, the rigged WC Organisers, the crowd with all that stacked against them but All could not defeat a nation of prayers and God sure heard them 🙏🏾❤️ Glad to be alive to watch a game that united our people around the world 🌎 Thank you Toa Samoa 🇼🇸

Dunno what you were watching, but they were just an English Northerner and a colour commentator English guy. What did you expect? In fact, the main commentator, while clearly behind England, was keeping it pretty even, and the colour commentator is there for the England bias, after all. And no, I am not a Brit, nor from a rugby-playing country, so as neutral as they come. Obviously, I only ever saw the highlight reel here, so maybe the two guys were far more pro England. Well done to Samoa for putting one over the England team. And this is about as much as I'll bother with League for the next few years.

RLWC organizers booked samoas flight home the week prior to this match, they werent even meant to make the GF. So it's not surprising the refs weren't calling a fair match. What an inspiring playoff run from Toa Samoa and respect to Matt Parish for refusing to let the ship go down after that crushing loss in game 1 💪🇼🇸 regardless of the GF outcome these lads did themselves and their people very proud. I'm excited to see them go all the way again in the next one.

I wonder how England managed to avoid Australia and New Zealand throughout the group and quarter final stages. The fixture gods obviously smiling on England. Far be it from me to suggest otherwise. However, England didn't expect to lose this after the 60 point drubbing they dished out to Samoa in the group stage. I think it was 70:30 in terms of England underestimating Samoa and giving them the respect they deserved. Samoa put a much better plan for this game, looked like they played together (wasn't the case in the group game) and out-played England on the day. Superb all-round by Samoa. They will have their hands full with Australia. But, no-one expected them to win this game and they did. If they manage to win the final, that would be a day of days in Rugby League history. I'll be supporting Samoa for Sunday.

I can't tell if you were being facetious or not? However, just in case you weren't, it was impossible for England to meet either Australia or New Zealand before the Final. They're the Home Nation, so the draw is designed that way. Personally, I think it's good that there are minnow teams in there who are getting the chance to play Test Matches against the big boys, but on the other hand it is a bit of a problem, because the top three teams spend a month playing easy games before they meet one another, then they suddenly have to play for keeps. I mean ... I suppose it's good in a way, because it allows something like this to happen, but I'm not entirely convinced that it ends up proving who the best in the world is. It's actually very hard to maintain your standard when you aren't being tested, and you're playing against weaker teams?

Revisiting the moment of history making, and definitely the island boys, I mean 🇫🇯, 🇹🇴, 🇵🇬, Cook 🇨🇰 and even Samoa 🇼🇸 were all underdogs. The world rugby league were using them as in the gladiators days. Now the rule book is out, time to barred them for playing for their beloved nations. It won't be long before the island Boys rule the rugby world arena. Pacific boys keep it up, cos the referees and the commentators were all ganging up to down the Island teams. 🤫I have no respect for England and all the hype they brought and making sure they get to the finals in the easiest route possible, so they thought? How the heck did England get to play Samoa again in the semi when they played them in the pool games, what the? The only time they should have met was in the final in they win their semis games. Just the same for England Women against NZ yesterday and the Rugby Union final last Saturday. They talk such tripe makes you wonder whether they’re watching the same game. This part of the reason England are so disliked anywhere they go. Mind you, you think this was jingoistic and biased listen to the Soccer World Cup commentary when England are playing especially if it’s one of the minors. It will make you want to vomit.

Just say you hate the English, at least own it. Every country's media is biased towards its own teams. The commentary you heard was from the BBC (British Broadcasting Corporation), so of course they will be biased. Doesn't make it right, the BBC are hated by many in the UK. Have you ever listened to the Ashes from Aussie commentators, or a Brazilian soccer match from Brazilian TV? And as a country hosting the tournament, many of them get favorable draws, in many sports. No particular favoritism here. You just wanted an excuse to sh*t on the English, as per usual. That being said, well played Samoa and good luck in the final.

Need to be made into a movie. In the beginning Samoa was great on paper the round one, england wins 60-6. Everyone laughing at Samoa, until they beat them 27-26 in the semis to make GF. PS, Im happy to play critta 😅💪🏼
