Many of my liberal friends have bought Trump mugshot t-shirts cuz they find it hilarious whereas of all my friends who support Trump not a single one of them has bought anything with a Trump mugshot on it. They are infact very upset by the mug shot. So if my experience is similar to everyone else's the selling of the mugshots does not mean Trump is becoming more popular it means people want Trump in prison.

The week of my fifteenth birthday, I had to go to work for my grandfather - a general contractor. I had no choice. I had to pitch in to help keep the business going. Unlike most fifteen-year-olds, who didn't work or had newspapers routes/worked at a shop part-time, - my summers of getting up when I felt like it and going to the beach, or the lake fishing, or practicing baseball - were over. I never felt the need to make a lot of noise about my blue-collar roots, but when I hear aging frat boys like Jesse Watters sounding off for the forgotten man, I lose my shit. Trump too. I remember spending all day on a roof, in a ditch digging, wheeling concrete to where the truck didn't reach. I did this for the better part of ten years, first in summers, then full time. I never remembered seeing useless weaklings like Watters or Trump when I looked around on the crew, because they were privileged, the antithesis of what I was living. One of the most heartbreaking things I've seen in recent years is the rightward drift of blue-collar people from my rust belt hometown - suckered by the attraction of Trump and Watters's non-stop chorus of grievance which they mistake for as a shared experience.

In Canada, several years ago, the Premier (sort of like a governor) of BC was busted for drunk driving in Maui. Mugs, t-shirts, lunch boxes etc became available in a matter of a few days. My kids got me the T-shirt and not because I was fond of miserable creep. It was the beginning of the end. His popularity dropped to 9% and he decided to quit before he was fired. I live in a very diverse neighborhood in Brooklyn. I vividly recall the Saturday after the 2020 election, right about noon. The state of Pennsylvania was called for Biden. I knew this because of the joyful noise that erupted on my street. “Hit the Road Jack” was blaring from an apartment window directly across the street. People were dancing in the street, hugging, crying, fist-bumping, cheering. After about an hour, the party moved to the Atlantic Center downtown and, it was widely reported, the party, attended by thousands, continued past midnight. I have seen or heard of no celebrations, no reproductions of the famous mug-shot, no street-corner gatherings in support of Defendant Trump.

Draw prison bars on that Trump mugshot T-shirt, and then it will be a work of art worth buying and wearing.
