This is my review of the Samson G-Track Pro USB condenser microphone. This microphone is one of the best ones you can get, especially for the price and definitely deserves a lot more recognition. Enjoy!

I have had this microphone for over 2 years now and had a Yeti before that, and I prefer its sound a lot more than the Yeti. I am still surprised that not a lot of people know about it.

Thanks for your effort and the video. Over here in Germany the G-Track Pro went up in price since the Pandemic started. It used to be priced at 135 € and now it's 180 - 200 € when not on sale. That's why I'm thinking about getting the Elgato Wave 3 instead, since there's a warehouse deal for around 130 €. Can you or anyone give me his/her opinion how the two compare and which one to go for? I'm aware of all the Specs for each one but can't decide what's the better deal. Though it's a matter of taste as usual. Appreciate it.

I bought this mic a year ago and love it. Can you tell me, is that frequency response on just the mic section or both plug in section? 50hz is not that low, if you plug a bass or synth into it.

I bought this mic, and it sounds good but, it would always make an annoying noise as my computer works harder like while playing games or using heavy applications, I’ve bought another cable and the noise is still there, any of you guys know why is it and how to solve?

I now have this microphone. My friends tell me my voice sounds great, but I myself hear static in the back live and in the recordings. Do you have any idea what's going on?

It probably has to do with the room you record in. I also bought this mic, mostly because of the positive reviews from KZfaqrs. But what I found is a lot of echo and a lot of static. That's the result of a pretty empty room, a wooden floor and not much isolation in the walls. This guy and also other reviewers have soundproof rooms they record in. You can use noise compression and other audio tools to get rid of it, but that will also affect the quality of your voice recording.

I'm sure you could create a lot of different sounds with different mics on the software end, but man, this one just sounds *so good* on everyone's reviews. It's the sound I want, so why use something that I have to run through software?

Asking this in a few threads in the hope that you or someone who has knowledge of both mics will see my question. I'm considering the Samson G-Track Pro and the Fifine K690. My sense is the G-Track does a better job of picking up sound from further away and offers a cleaner sound with perhaps less background noise. The mute button may be quieter too. The K690 may offer a bit more base, which generally I like as long as it doesn't make it harder to discern my voice. I understand the mute button tends to produce a gentle but clear "pop". This is all gleaned from reviews, most of all yours. I may be reading between the lines at times. The only thing I'll be using whichever one I choose for is Zoom meetings. I'm in them all day and have a soft, deep voice. I want to be easily heard while keeping the mic out of the picture so people can see me and I don't want to look like a DJ. If I sound good too, that's all the better. I don't care about the difference in price so long as the Samson is worth the extra money. If Zoom audio compression is going to make them sound the same, then I'd go with the K690. Do you have any thoughts? Thanks.

Zoom compression would surely have an effect on the sound quality, but it will be a noticeable improvement from let's say a webcam microphone to a dedicated one like the Samson G-Track Pro. You will have more control over the audio on the G-Track Pro which is why I would recommend it for it's sound quality. However, while you will still get good quality audio from a distance of this microphone, it is still a pretty large microphone which may be difficult to keep off camera depending on your set up. Overall, I do think that the G-Track Pro is the best option of the two in just about every way, especially since you mentioned that price wasn't an issue as long as it's worth the extra cost and I believe that it is worth it.

I was wondering about that. I wanna start a youtube channel with a friend, and I got little to no sound proofing in the room I’m gonna use to record. Would you say it picks up a lot of background noise? I don’t have the most considerate of room-mates...

@@NanaLaEnana I don't know about this mic but I tried Hyperx Cloudcast and returned it. Know I have Samson q2u. Its a dynamic mic and thus, it picks much less background noise cpmpared to non-dynamic ones like Hyperx.

I've also looked into dynamic mics for the both of us to use in the future if the channel picks up, but for now, we don't want to invest too much into equipement, so I was looking into other options like this one, since it has three pick up patterns and could record two people at the same time. I'll also look into shotgun mics. Think I'll stuff some towels into my doors in the meantime, lol.
