One thing I really appreciate about your review is the fact that you recorded it in a room that is not padded with soundproof foam. Thus, when you compare the two mics, yours and the Samson, we can REALLY tell the difference between a mic that simply picks up anything, and a mic that focuses on your voice while suppressing the reverb of the room. Good job on the video.

Definitely the best USB mic in my opinion, for anything better u would definitely have to get an xlr mic and audio interface.

Awesome review. I just got this mic after originally considering the Yeti but then seeing reviews stating that this is better. I was sold once I realized I could plug in my guitars. So far so good. My main use case will be recording music as well as using it for work calls on Microsoft Teams and Zoom as I work 100% from home. Hopefully it'll bring my client calls to the next level compared to built in headphone mic.

I like how we are both sat having a cigarette together lol good review my friend, I've litterally just bought this mic less than an hour ago on ebay! can't wait t for delivery! il be using it for voice acting over Animation and narrating, with the odd music track and possibly as a like a boom mic for any videos if thats possible, maybe even podcasts, reviews reactions, Stand up comedy routine, monologue, vocal training, I could go on for ages! OMG I CAN'T WAIT!! I saved up for this baby, it's the first thing I've bought for myself since I bought myself a Blue Yeti February of last year for 120 (but turns out I got ripped off/Scammed, so I've only used my chappy phone mic since then, so ANY mic would sound good at this point, but I saved for the best! @@immythlive9710 I just ended up getting a blue yeti on sale, great mic for what it is. My friend does have the G-track pro, it sounds really good too. Just make sure you have a fairly strong mic arm since it’s one of the heavier built mics out there

Great interview. I'm creating a podcast with a panel of 2 or 3 people having discussions. Doing my research on best podcast mics, the Samson G Track Pro came highly recommended. Until I saw your video, I thought I'd need to purchase 2-3 mics. I have two follow-up questions based on your review. One, with social distancing now being the new normal, do you think 1 mic (with 2-3 people talking) can still get the job done with regards to audio quality? Two, can you give a bit of detail when more than one mic (Samson G Track Prod) is plugged into one computer? I trying to get an idea if all mics will have to be managed separately (in different windows) when viewing them on your computer.

Thank you! I think this mic could work fine for a group of people, albeit you must keep in mind the distance between people. However it has a dynamic range and volume control which helps. About the multiple mics, it depends on which software you use but it is possible. Do you know of any other boom arm than the Samson MBA38 and any other shockmount than Samson SP01 or 04 that will hold this heavy and wide microphone? It seems these numbers are currently unavailable.

I looked high and low for the Samson SP04 that was made for the G Track Pro, I gave up and looked for ANYTHING that was documented to work with the G Track Pro. Rycote InVision Studio USM-VB does work. I found a review with photos on Amazon of someone using this Shock Mount with their G Track Pro! I was able to find it in stock at adorama.com (amazon was out?) Make sure you order the "USM-VB" by Rycote for the shock mount as this is larger than the "USM" Rycote InVision Studio USM-VB Universal Microphone Shock-Mount kzfaq.info/get/bejne/oMikmZucxOCyXZ8.html Now, the last piece I'm looking for is a U-Shaped Pop filter Windtech PG-2000 PopGard Windscreen Of course this is out of stock everywhere as best I can tell until Oct 2020 I know there are other knock offs but which will fit? Yes they are cheaper, but if I can't buy a good product at any price, what good is it to me?

I don’t think you’d have a problem! You can designate each device in your computer settings to whichever piece of equipment you’re using. Is the headset for listening or has a mic too?

I bought this mic, and it sounds good but, it would always make an annoying noise as my computer works harder like while playing games or using heavy applications, I’ve bought another cable and the noise is still there, any of you guys know why is it and how to solve? I use Windows 10.

Question on the Weight: How much is the Mic without the stand? I own this mic and love it, I don't own a scale. Samson list weight including it's massive stand. Shopping for a Boom & Shock Mount it's important to know.

I connected the samson Mic to my mac book and the mic comes on but it wont pick up the mic as a device. Not sure what to do.
