I've shied away from USB stuff (being an old pro) but now I'm retired and want to do what I want, I'm going to get this one. I'm used to having to have the mic actually touch my lips - having always used the Shure SM58 for live work - so it will be something of a luxury to be able to sit back a bit. I love the guitar input - which is what actually sold it to me - especially the ability to channel the input separately. Thanks for showing it to us.

Thanks for the great video. I purchased one a year ago for personal guitar/voice GarageBand stuff. Great value, trying to figure out to update to audio interface+mic. for better quality?

It's a good sounding microphone but I agree with your points on regarding picking up a bit too much. BTW, I was dedicated enough to watch this entirely in 360p since KZfaq has not finished processing it :)

Love mine. Only issue is usb type b. It’s always lose & disconnecting when the mic moves just a little.

I would love to get my hands on one of these, having used its predecessor briefly before moving onto XLR mics with dedicated audio interfaces... but I can't afford one (I know it sounds like a step back, but I just have too many wires around in my house and I don't have all that much space).

My windows laptop doesn't recognize it . . . . . . I get no levels on my Korg KRONOS either, but I do use the monitor out into my KRONIS audio in and it sounds great.

I have owned this microphone for a year and was really happy until one day the Cardioid mode sounded very low and muffled, Fig 8 and Omni sound great. Any ideas why this mode loses quality?

It's a foam filter from a Samson Q9U or Q9X.

Generally speaking, any dynamic mic (which this is not) will be better for podcasting. If you have a deep voice look into the Samson Q2U, and if you have a high or sibilant voice, check out the Samson Q9U. Dynamic mics do a lot better at cutting out background noise, but they need to be kept close to your mouth for best results (6 or so inches).
